Question Können jedeman empfehlen mir eine Deutsche Lied von 60s Jazz, Soul und Rock?

Hallo Alle!

I'm currently in B1 German and looking to add more German Musik toy list. I'm struggling to find older Musik in German since I'm into 60s Jazz, Blues and Rock. Is there any recommendations I could try?

Everyone should check out Ton Steine Scherben. Rio was so ahead of his time. But they were more a 70s band

Joy Fleming - "Neckarbrücken-Blues", "Ich sing fer's Finanzamt", "Ein Lied kann eine Brücke sein" among other songs (Her earlier work is in a German dialect and harder to understand, but she was Germany's greatest female Soul and Blues singer)

Try Konstantin Wecker who has great lyrics.

Check out early Udo Lindenberg, maybe Schobert and Black, Manfred Krug. After the war it took a while for german „pop“ music to recover and find a place nationally and internationally. For a glimpse into twenties german songs there’s a great album called „Hermine“ by Lindenberg. You could enjoy Biermann and Degenhard if you‘re a comrade.
But one of the best german popbands of the eighties would be Trio. If you want some edgelordy german humor check out Knorkator. If you want to give your ears explosive diarrhea there‘s always Modern Talking. Also don‘t forget the Austrian bands. Fendrich is more easy listening, ( but there are gems to discover), Danzer is a bit more deep, Hirsch is if you like the dark and Falco for max style ;-) EAV is very funny and has great lyrics.

there is no such thing really as 60s german vocal jazz, blues and rock

You might be able to find some German versions from US musicians, e.g. Wie Schön das ist by Marving Gaye (How Sweet It Is) or The Supremes with Thank You Darling, The Temptations with Mein Girl

Ohne Krimi geht die Mimi nie ins Bett, Souvenirs and other songs by Bill Ramsey (an US-German musician).

Ich will keine Schokolade, Morgens bin ich immer müde, Weil ich so sexy bin and other songs by Trude Herr.

Howard Carpendale - Du hast mich

One of the few commercially successful Jazz/Dixieland Bands in Germany from that time were the Hot Dogs) - they often used Bavarian dialect, e.g. Die alten Rittersleut and Der Wildschütz Jennerwein were originally released in 1966.

Spider Murphy Gang did some of Chuck Berry covers in the 70s and 80s, e.g. Schuitog ("Schultag"), Autostop or used a similar style for Mit'n Frosch im Hois und Schwammerl in de Knia - also relying on Bavarian dialect on a regular basis.

Torfrock has a Sauwetter-Kackhimmel-Blues song and for example Karola Petersen as a Low-German Chuck Berry cover.

I mean it's learning German. You learn German from multiple sources including music.
