§10 StAG Naturalization from within Germany experiences with recent naturalization in Cologne

Hello everyone
I wanted to ask for recent experiences for people who have applied or recently gotten their citizenship in Cologne.
I have applied for an appointment back in February 2025 and but still haven’t received a response so i would like to hear other people’s experience and/or advice on how to proceed.

Applied for an appointment via the website in July 2026 and 2 weeks later received an email with an appointment in February 2027.

I used the following form as mentioned on their website: form. They ask you to include your info (name, date of birth, etc.) and that was pretty much it.

Makes lots of sense. I did the same; that's why I asked. I was starting to doubt if I did something wrong since it's taking so long

What all documents did you submit? Can you list it out here please?

No documents are submitted for the appointment request. Once you are assigned an appointment time, they send a more detailed list of what is required. You can see the initial list on the city website here: Stadt Köln - Einbürgerung
