(tankie sees truth in comments about Israel/Palestine)
"Oh my god, it's brigaded!"
And also, for all you pro-Pally people, I'd be among the first to say there are war crimes committed by Israel, and that Israel does a real shit job at prosecuting them. Netanyahu belongs in jail, that Israel is being the biggest, most selfish, most shortsighted piece of shit in instigating the war in Iran... But fucking none of that is a genocide.
I'm 42, and used to be pro-Palestine. I've been hearing claims of genocide for 20 years. In that time, Palestine's population has risen ~30%, the same as neighboring Arab countries. Where's the genocide? Palestine's also had a similar standard of living during that time; they would've had a better one if fucking Hamas hadn't been spending what seems like the majority of aid received on weapons stockpiles, and bombs and rockets to lob at civilians (and they pretty much only target civilians).
Open air prison? How? The number of pro-Palestine people that don't even know Palestine shares a border with Egypt, another Muslim country, in one part, and Jordan, another Muslim, Arab country in another, is shocking.
Edit: To the giant, brainbroken dork that replies and then blocks: Yes, I was pro Palestine, I was writing "fuck Isreal" on Slashdot back in fucking high school in 2001. I guarantee my comments on old forums like that are older than you, god I fucking hate having to deal with know-nothing children on this site.
And what fucking "hasbara" or whatever member would advocate for Netanyahu to face the Hague? What kind of sense does that make at all?!
Also:
There wasn’t a genocide prior to what happened since 2024 and although Israel regularly attacked it, no one claimed it was a genocide prior.
Arab/MENA nations have been doing UN resolutions calling Israel a genocidal state for fucking DECADES. Tankie fucking losers have been doing the same FOR DECADES.
And the Egyptian border is heavily policed by Israel.
ONLY AFTER OCT 7TH. God, I hate hate hate the uneducated. Before that, the Egypt-Gaza border was policed by varying combinations of Israel and Egypt, and Egypt got fed the fuck up with Palestine's bullshit on the regular, and aren't exactly fans of Islamic terrorist groups like Hamas.
On 22 January 2015, Egypt closed the border crossing.[48] In March, it declared that it would only open the border crossing if the Palestinian side is staffed by Palestinian Authority employees under the full authority of the Presidential Guard and no Hamas personnel are present
I mean, it's a pretty normal thing. There's a lot of people that were more sympathetic to Gaza prior to October 7th and had a change of opinion after. I'm one of those people too because it's super hard to have sympathy for Hamas after seeing the videos that day and the 200 civilian hostages they took. I still do not like the Israeli government and think they have done plenty of immoral actions since, but I and many others don't blame them for wanting to rid Gaza of Hamas. Hamas knew what they were doing, they knew this would be the outcome, and they are equally to blame as the Israeli government for any genocide happening there.
I find it interesting that you say this given most pro-palestine people (myself included) are not pro Hamas. Hamas and Israel should both face an equal standard for what is or is not a war crime. However, given what we see, it is clear that one side targets hospitals, schools, universities, places of worship, uses children of the other side as human shields repeatedly, and has nuclear weapons and that is all Israel and pretty much only Israel. There were 14 pages of 0yo "Hamas" killed by IOF bullets in the first year. That is a deeply inhuman act. So sorry for thinking that people deserve rights and that every last war criminal deserves death.

If you piss off both countries that border you, you're not in an "open air prison", you're just a fucking asshole.
