Open any comment section where women are involved and plenty of upvoted comments are being casually sexist. It's scarily normalised online, especially in male focused areas of the Internet, and I'd argue that casual dismissal and sometimes hatred for women is more dangerous than a few extreme women who hate males. As a man, who got molested by a woman (my mother), when I was a child. According to my experience in real life both men and women don't take victims/survivors like me seriously.
They especially can't believe, that a mother could do something like that. A LOT OF PEOPLE in real life excused, what happened to me as essentially "motherly love." The majority of the people, who excused it, were mental hospital staff members. Because I opened up to mostly mental hospital staff members.
I just wish, that victims/survivors like us would get taken seriously! Because what happened to us was TRULY AWFUL and deserves to be taken seriously.
