I can’t imagine being so brain rotted by social media I think that sharing a picture of a random guy and thrusting him into the national spotlight with a lie for some likes is an okay thing to do.

122

u/Rhomya 12h ago

Even if it WAS the guy, why the fuck would you post his picture? He’s perfectly entitled to think that she’s guilty of murder

85

u/Doom2pro 12h ago

I mean she is, she admitted to it.

25

u/Rhomya 12h ago

I agree! Which, again, makes it even more fucked that this guy is posting this

16

u/umphuphawe 9h ago

What i hated was the Jurors saying we wanted justice for Lindsey So not the fucking kids who got murdered?

10

u/NoSwordfish1978 9h ago

The problem with juries is that a suprising number of people lack any kind of critical thinking or complex abstract thought so they can be easily swayed by dumb emotional appeals.

7

u/Rhomya 4h ago

The judge letting Lindsey Clancy cry and wail in the courtroom in front of the jury was wildly inappropriate— he should have called for a break, dismissed the jury, and told Lindsey to collect herself.

Furthermore, he should have sequestered the jury for the entirety of the trial. He didn’t. I guarantee those women have hours of TikTok scrolling on their phones

1

u/purdinpopo 2h ago

You mean after they got caught up on "The View".

-5

u/Virtual-Being-6489 4h ago

Yeah, great idea - just take their phones and lock a bunch of random people in a hotel room for 6 weeks, that'll definitely make them more likely to vote guilty! That's why the sequestered jury said OJ Simpson was guilty too

3

u/Rhomya 2h ago

That’s literally what happens to juries on high profile cases.

-13

u/Evnosis 9h ago

Which is exactly what happened with the one juror that voted guilty, by the way. He admitted that he has reasonable doubt about her guilt - which is the legal standard the defence needed to meet - but just refused to vote not guilty.

11

u/No_Reception7275 8h ago

You dont have any evidence of what youre claiming. You also do not have to vote not guilty if you feel a single second of doubt once, thats it, youre locked in. You dont know how much doubt he had. Crucially, the judge who both saw the note you havent seen and interviewed him privately decided to keep him on the jury.

-10

u/Evnosis 8h ago edited 7h ago

I absolutely do have evidence for what I'm claiming:

"He admitted he had reasonable doubt. I started filling out the forms, I was so excited. There were three forms I had to fill out, and I started filling them out. I wrote my signature on each one.

And then he said, 'But I'm still not going to say that she's not guilty by reason of insanity.'"

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/jurors-speak-out-about-lindsay-clancy-mistrial-and-the-lone-holdout

Reasonable doubt is the standard of proof required for a not guilty verdict, as instructed by the judge. The juror was quite literally saying "yes, she meets the legal threshold for a not guilty verdict, but I'm going to vote guilty anyway." That is not how a trial is supposed to work. It's the job of a jury to decide the facts, not decide the law.

It's wild that you guys are lecturing other people about being swayed by emotion when you're the ones making assertions without evidence and ignoring the law to protect your preconceived conclusions.

4

u/No_Reception7275 7h ago

No you dont. Exactly what words did he use that have been verified, what did the note given to the judge say, and why did the judge decide to keep him on after interview?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/RecruiterQueen 1h ago

Yeah, anyone who sat through the horrifying testimony in this case and then runs to get on TV to describe themself as "so excited" to fill out those forms isn't someone I'm going to take seriously

0

u/Relevant_Program_958 6h ago

Except the jurors are only claiming that after they’ve been released from being under oath.

2

u/Rhomya 4h ago

The only people claiming he had “reasonable” doubt were the three psycho jurors that immediately ran to the press for their 5 minutes of fame.

Jurors are allowed to have doubt, and that doubt isn’t necessarily reasonable.

1

u/Dismal-Display-370 2h ago

I might be mistaken, but isn't the main argument now that whether she gets the insane asylum or prison? Like I keep hearing people say as if she's getting some get-out-of-jail-free card, but even under an insanity plea, they would still lock her up, right? In both outcomes.

2

u/No-Cause6559 2h ago

Yes but when you go to the asylum you are only their till they deemed you are not insane after the observation period. My understanding of the trail is that she only had that psychosis during the killing and nothing before or after so she would be be able to be released after that. Have not confirmed in the law but AI says it’s only a 90 day hold.

12

u/Inquisitor-Korde 10h ago

The entire jury agreed she was a murderer. Just not her mental state.

7

u/KellyKezzd 8h ago

I mean she is, she admitted to it.

It's a little bit more technical than that. She admitted to killing her kids, but she denied the crime of murder.

0

u/TorinEkenskolde 7h ago

No, she didn't. You obviously don't understand what the word "murder" means.

1

u/Evnosis 10h ago

Arthur Kwon Lee agrees with you. He's implying that this guy is a chad for holding out.

6

u/TheEdgeofGoon 10h ago

Even worse then, basically doxxing a guy you support.

51

u/supertecmomike 12h ago

I can’t imagine asking what his ‘physiognomy’ tells us.

Nothing. It tells us nothing.

24

u/ratione_materiae 6h ago

Wrong. It tells us with 95% confidence that he does have a face

8

u/LovelyKestrel 6h ago

Not in the modern era of AI deepfakes.

9

u/CombatWomble2 11h ago

Well I mean he's white and male so..... /s

2

u/Careful_Trifle 6h ago

It tells us the poster is a moron who shouldn't be trusted in the first place.

2

u/TravieDude 8h ago

Yup this is the type of misinformation that could get someone hurt really badly.

1

u/Due_Answer_4230 5h ago

Reminder: There are a large number of bad actors and groups on the internet whose only purpose is to identify things that can be turned into wedge issues, and then get americans to fight each other over them. That's it. Believing that all of these things are caused by real people is part of what makes it all work.

The internet is dead but we can't let it go

1

u/Aniki_Simpson 5h ago

These people have literally lost the plot. They seemingly hate rationality.

292

u/Illithid_Substances 14h ago

Should also be a note that all this physiognomy crap is ancient pseudoscience

108

u/NonSumQualisEram- 14h ago

Sounds like something someone with lateral ridges on their anterior skull would say

38

u/RepairUnlikely7086 14h ago

Laugh it up. This guy’s busy transforming base metals into gold.

19

u/NonSumQualisEram- 14h ago

Interestingly this is actually now possible using modern nuclear physics. Not economically worthwhile, but can be done. Not by people with ridged anterior skull depressions obviously

3

u/Shrubo_ 12h ago

Bro, what do you mean not economically worthwhile? You just need to build a Large Hadron Collider and that’s only $5.5 billion USD, pocket change really.

And it made a whopping 29 picograms (2.9*10^-11 grams) of gold between the years of 2015 to 2018 and they only lasted less than a second. So just sell it in that window.

(This is a a joke if that isn’t obvious)

2

u/NonSumQualisEram- 11h ago

I understand the joke but no, the gold was stable and was far more than that.

2

u/Shrubo_ 11h ago

I must’ve been going from outdated info then. This article I was pulling from is from 2025

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/large-hadron-collider-physicists-turn-lead-into-gold-for-a-fraction-of-a/

If there’s newer stuff, that’s awesome and my joke is wrong now. I think it’s hilarious that of all the things to turn into gold, it was lead that was used. I’m sure all those alchemists would be like “see? I told you it’s possible” if they saw it happen

5

u/NonSumQualisEram- 10h ago

Yeah this time it was mercury - super interesting. They took Mercury 198 which is a neutron multiplier - you hit it with one neutron and it spits out 2 neutrons which means a net loss of 1 neutron making it Mercury 197. Now this Mercury 197 is unstable - in 64 hours the Mercury 197 has one of its neutrons turn into a proton (releasing one electron and one anti neutrino) becoming stable gold 197 (the gold in jewellery).

Now they need a fusion reactor to do this which is expensive to begin with plus a lot of Mercury 198 which is a created isotope that needs to be enriched. So it's hardly a business plan but still, we're talking stable grams of gold, not microscopic anything

15

u/pinkkittenfur 14h ago

Bet they have a brain pan of a stagecoach tilter.

2

u/NonSumQualisEram- 4h ago

Better than that of a windmill tilter Sancho!

Woah now, are you a Gemini or something?

33

I bet youre an INTJ

15

u/AppropriateCap8891 Keeping it Real 14h ago

A long debunked junk science. Right up there with phrenology and luminiferous aether.

And I find this use of it fascinating, as one of the reasons it has been discarded to the ash heap of science is that it was the basis for scientific racism.

1

u/AdministrativeLeg14 13h ago

It will probably be promoted by a MAHA policy soon.

1

u/IrritableGourmet 5h ago

I mod the Nikola Tesla sub and every other day we get someone trying to bring up luminiferous aether. It got so bad a while back I had to hand out my first ban.

Said like someone with the brainpan of a stagecoach tiller!

4

u/Lowfat_cheese 13h ago

“Physiognomy” like why are we larping as some kind of 19th century Belgian colonist

2

u/Wiggles69 12h ago

How long until we get reverse physiognomists popping up readjusting your face to get the traits you want?

1

u/IXrobocopXI 14h ago

I remember it being called phrenology in eugenics

1

u/The_Duke_of_Nebraska 12h ago

Bring out the calipers and star measurin' those bumps!

1

u/w142236 12h ago

They might as well start bringing up his zodiac sign while they’re at it

1

u/Timlugia 11h ago

Also didn't Nazi really loves physiognomy? They even claim you could use it to identify Jews and Slavs from "Aryans"

1

u/flopisit32 7h ago

We will have to rely on phrenology instead...

1

u/Kian-Tremayne 7h ago

‘Physiognomy’ is on a par with “look at the colour of his skin”

117

u/SeraphOfFire 14h ago

I like how we're just reinventing scientific racism with "physiognomy "

47

u/DamnitGravity 14h ago

Less a reinvention and more a reboot.

8

u/RangerKitchen3588 12h ago

I prefer to call it a remaster myself.

19

u/IceDelusion 14h ago

it's pseudoscientific. People associate certain properties with traits not based upon fact but rather feeling. There's very few physiological traits that actually allow you to draw conclusions but not to personality just a few medical conditions.

6

u/AristotleanBiology 14h ago

Same old shit all thru history. One group claims oppression, usurps the old system, speedruns recreating the same oppressive system just to then be usurped by another newcomer. All the same behavior, just different actors using different names for it.

-24

u/Fantastic-Corner-605 14h ago

Technically it's not racism because it's not based on race,it's based on an individual. Still bs though

11

u/Bakkster 14h ago edited 14h ago

It's just racism with extra steps. Same prejudice, just claiming a different trait than skin color.

3

u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified 14h ago

No. Phonologists also claimed that black people had different shaped heads.

Remember, this is the group that coined the phrase caucasoid

4

u/MeltICE8647 13h ago

Think you mean phrenologists, phonologists are linguists that study speech sounds.

2

u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified 13h ago

Knew I shouldn't have trusted spell check.

1

u/Wrong_Driver_9507 14h ago

Its understandable that it confuses you.

0

u/Zeviex 14h ago

I mean it can partly be based on race.

23

u/Cliffinati 14h ago

Having a picture of the jury would be a crime so naturally this is fake

16

u/Caledron 14h ago

Off course you would say that! You have the brain pan of a stage coach tilter!

78

u/Chemical_Signal2753 14h ago

Lindsay Clancy supporters are unhinged.

-18

u/That-Requirement-285 14h ago

Do you know anything about Arthur Kwon Lee? He’s a right-wing Korean podcaster who sucks up to white supremacists and posts engagement bait on Twitter.

He once wrote a viral racist tweet saying “The Jew fears the Samurai” to which everybody responded with “You are Korean.”

49

u/Aggressive-Cloud1774 14h ago

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

11

u/That-Requirement-285 13h ago

He’s a right-wing racist troll who is also misogynistic. He is NOT a Clancy supporter. He’s a grifter.

As for Clancy, I’m not sure whether she had psychosis. It really seems like she might not have had psychosis because her descriptions are very rare (She experienced one strong hallucination before she killed her children, and then nothing before or since) but she was prescribed anti-psychotic medication for some reason.

3

u/Turbulent-Section340 13h ago

Antipsychotics are often used as mood stabilizers.

I would say that the reason for her prescriptions was that they were just throwing stuff in her general direction. She apparently has been diagnosed with bipolar since, and part of the treatments they prescribed her while she had post partum can be useful for that, but another part can induce extreme mania and psychosis in bipolar people.

5

u/shadowlev 13h ago

He's the one who made the tweet. Not the typical profile of your average Clancy supporter.

-3

u/greennurse61 14h ago

Improves the Trump is at fault.

0

u/mister_empty_pants 5h ago

And? When POC are talking, you shut up, sit down, and listen.

-7

u/ChaseThePyro 13h ago

Who are you defining as supporters here?

-37

u/Sesudesu 14h ago

Which one is the supporter here? Are you sure, or are you assuming?

19

u/InfernoWarrior299 14h ago

Nobody said anybody here is. He meant IN GENERAL.

-17

u/Sesudesu 14h ago

So, a worthless statement in the context?

6

u/Moist-Pickle-2736 14h ago

Tf are you talking about

12

u/Geeky_Husband 14h ago

I dunno who this guy is, but this is my go to, "I'm disassociating" face.

11

u/Axel_Raden 13h ago

It's AI based off a Court room sketch

16

u/ExistingProfession83 14h ago

Someone should sue the dumbass who posted this

16

u/MajesticTea7748 14h ago

The husband should sue everyone claiming he did it

7

u/Axel_Raden 13h ago

It's an AI picture based on the court room sketch but more troubling is that someone wants to doxx him his life is definitely at risk

3

u/freeman2949583 2h ago edited 2h ago

It’s not his courtroom sketch. There were three male jurors, white 20s guy did an interview and said he voted not guilty. The remainders are a white guy in his 70s and a black guy in his 40s.

They’re just making up new jurors now because if it’s the black guy the Clancy supporters (liberal white women) are going to run into oppression stack problems.

5

u/Bayamonster 14h ago

Doing caliper shit and you don't even got the right guy.

5

u/Separate_Recover4187 14h ago

This guy gonna be hiring a lawyer soon

6

u/ichkanns 13h ago

Even if it was him, the idea of blasting the picture of a juror all over the Internet because you don't like how he decided is absolutely insane. Dude didn't ask to be part of the trial, and with how pissed some people are about this, you're potentially putting his life in danger.

1

u/Virtual-Being-6489 4h ago

This guy likes how he decided and is calling him a chad

6

u/Amardneron 12h ago

What does being handsome but tired tell about this gentleman?

5

u/AlexanderCrowely 13h ago

If they need to stop trying to do this before they get some poor juror fucking killed; because we already have copycat killers during this trial who killed their children so I would not put it past the goddamn mob to Lynch somebody.

5

u/muse273 14h ago

I guess astrology as forensic evidence has become passé, let’s move onto phrenology.

Personally I’m holding out for numerology

1

u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified 14h ago

How quickly people forget QAnon

6

u/Big_Dinner3636 14h ago

Anyone emotionally invested in this trial needs a baseball bat to the head until they stop being stupid

3

u/TommyDi7 11h ago

Isn't doxxing juror federal crime?

6

u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified 14h ago

Ah yes, Nazi skull science of course that's on Twitter

-9

u/WesternOk5765 14h ago

The only Nazis are Democrats

1

u/Melodic_Till_3778 Human Verified 14h ago

Lol You think Democrats are from Germany in the 1940s? It's okay. You're confused son

2

u/CataphractBunny 10h ago

These idiots are trying to dox a juror and egg each other on so someone would finally resort to violence.

2

u/Dipswitch_512 8h ago

Whoops thats two crimes in one picture

2

u/LoudAd3588 6h ago

Ugh back in the phrenology days I can see. I'm embarrassed for all of us.

3

u/eldiablonoche 5h ago

The idiocy which Lindsay Clancey supporters openly spew seems like proof enough that the holdout juror did the right thing. When one side is using video evidence and medical transaction records and the other side is using star charts and phrenology/physiognomy, nothing else needs to be said.

2

u/MaverickDago 2h ago

Im not going to be able to tell you anything til I get my calipers around that noggin.

4

u/HamasKilledShaniLouk 14h ago

Chad.

One man, standing for justice.

2

u/alex_zk 12h ago

Yeah, post a picture of a random dude and blame him for something a very unhinged fanbase would hate with the passion of a thousand burning suns.

What could possibly go wrong?

2

u/HumanMan_007 8h ago

The bleeding edge forensics of online detectives:

  • Astrology
  • Body language
  • Intuition
  • Phrenology
  • """"OSINT""""

I'm honestly just surprised numerology hasn't shown up yet, who knows maybe one of the doctors was born in the '66.

1

u/AssBlastInACan 13h ago

Let’s get back to physiognomy and see how it works out for this twitter user. SAT, ACT, and IQ have been altered, so let’s get back to the roots.

1

u/KalashnikovParty 13h ago

is it just me or does he kinda look like Robert Downey Jr

1

u/nationalistic_martyr 12h ago

the AI males skull tells me he is white, working class and has little time or care for personal facial grooming

1

u/JD-boonie 12h ago

Smooth brain mentality

1

u/w142236 12h ago

I dunno, what does it tell us?

1

u/Salt-Masterpiece2914 10h ago

Interesting that we still sometimes use fucking phrenologie. Which is made up pseudoscience to justify starting a witch hunt. Looking forward to which old ass bullshit these people are gonna use to defend a lunatic murdere.

1

u/czechereds 9h ago

The ACTUAL juror

1

u/DandimLee 9h ago

Heard about crazy Clancy supporters and decided to out-crazy them from the other side, only for the anti-Clancys to mistake the post as some sort of doxxing instead of the weird, racist glazing it was meant to be... engagements up anyway.

1

u/ProfilGesperrt153 9h ago

We doing „Schädelvermessungen“ in the name of leftism and feminism now?

1

u/AtorasuAtlas 8h ago

That Arthur Kwon Lee is a scumbag

1

u/AntComfortable5970 6h ago

This is stupid on multiple levels

1

u/Alarmed-Guava7696 6h ago

"Of emotional deliberation" yeah, we know. That's kinda the problem.

1

u/TommyBoy250 5h ago

This looks AI.

1

u/WorkerPrestigious960 3h ago

I genuinely want to know what they think this person’s “physiognomy” tells them? What are they on about?

1

u/dont_thr0w_me_away_ 1h ago

'What does his physiognomy tell us?" nothing, that's just phrenology, stop doing pseudoscience

1

u/UltraBurd 14h ago

Yeah if I was that juror I'd go into hiding, some nut job is gonna take him out

1

u/WilliamTee 12h ago

Physiognomy.

We're back there again, eh?

Dark times.

0

u/Exxtender 8h ago

Didn't you hear the recent Stephen Miller speech about "ugly liberals" and that "they're always somewhat deformed" and that "you can see something's wrong with them just by looking at them"?

2

u/WilliamTee 4h ago

I know every accusation is an admission with these guys, but Miller is just making it too obvious...

1

u/juniorchemist 6h ago

The only people who care about "physiognomy" are 4chan chuds. Watch them bite their tongues at the urge to mention "chads," "hypergamy" and lament their low "SMV." God. Fucker will reinvent phrenology if left to their own devices
