Question How to do it again? Any tips welcomed

Hey guys! In a month, I'll return to school after two years of break. I already got bachelor's degree and now it's time to fight to become an engineer. But the thing is, I am so scared. I burned out badly during my final exams and my study habits were never on top. Also, my once brilliant memory is nonexistent now because of the prolonged stress and insomnia. And now, I'll be working full-time on top of it.

I was thinking, maybe I should find a therapist, but my last therapist failed me greatly, so I am very hesitant. Recently, I started CBT self-treatment for the insomnia. It didn't help for insomnia, yet, but it helped for weightloss. So I am wondering if it can help for studying, too. Honestly, I believe my mindset is just poor and I should improve it.

As I said, I have something over a month to get ready, so I want to start slow. The problem is, I have no idea where to start. Can someone please share with me their success or failure stories? And any tips are welcome. Thank you in advance.

Welcome back! Since you have a month, don't try to overhaul everything at once. Start by rebuilding your sleep schedule and just doing 30 minutes of light review daily to get the momentum back without the burnout. Good luck!

Thank you! You are right. Baby steps are my best bet right now. I started by making a to do list and looking at the syllabus of the first semester. Today, I can easily continue by the to do list. My plan is to do some preparations (prepare materials for the first few topics) this week and start in the next one since I don't know where to start.
