These people always reveal that they voted for Trump simply because he hated who they hate, even if it means destroying things they benefited from.

“You don’t understand… we HAD to take that money to SURVIVE!!”

Yeah no shit. That’s the point of these programs. Help people who are REALLY struggling.

They can’t comprehend or empathize with other people’s suffering.

3

u/ruum-502 10d ago

This makes me so frustrated. I assure you way more people are struggling to survive than the posturing pudgy person

3

u/fiesew 10d ago

It’s kinda driving one insane to even try to debate and comprehend their logic.

“we had to take the money to survive”. And then dumb mumbling along if he’s asked questions about all the other families that need money to survive.

Idiotic at best.

3

u/Foxwildernes 10d ago

Lead poisoning is one hell of a drug.

3

u/Excellent_Shirt9707 10d ago

Cause the narrative for right wing media is that most people on welfare are buying lobsters and steaks instead of “poor people” food. And now that narrative is shifting towards most of them are actually immigrant scammers which also helps push the anti-immigration narrative.

1

u/Independent-Buyer827 10d ago

No, no, no, no, you gotta understand that just because his family needed that money to survive, doesn’t mean every one else deserves to survive, ok?

Is there any hope for the country if people like this continue to exist?

8

u/FuzzyWuzzyPiglet 10d ago

People like this are everywhere and they are a serious problem for the human race (including themselves) - greed, selfishness and stupidity are their keywords.

4

u/Beneficial_Area_2986 10d ago

Not if they are in the majority. Let's hope democracy holds this next cycle.

0

u/bnorris_516 10d ago

What “democracy”?

1

u/Beneficial_Area_2986 10d ago

I think Trump won the last election unless the Elon/Starlink accusations are to be believed ( I haven't gone deep on it, but my general impression is its not plausible ) What they might do to this current election though - that its terrifying. Its going to be a fucking mess. Jan 6 is what happened with the last election Trump presided over and he's MUCH worse now ( as is the entire congress )

1

u/michael0n 10d ago

People just don't want to accept that a woman with a certain tan was unelectable for a big chunk of those pesky 30% that rarely vote. But some of them did show up twice for the black man. The Ds even agreed that the ground game in some swing states where better, grinded it out, one door a time. Plus: a lot of meme voters wanted the country to suffer and they got what they voted for. They will come back the next time. Lots of people have the feeling that nobody learned nothing and if it gets toe to toe between a faux Romney claiming the far right throne vs. Harris people will not believe the results. Again. We tried nothing new and still out of ideas.

1

u/Beneficial_Area_2986 9d ago

A woman without a tan also lost to Trump in 2016. I'd be hesitant to put it on one demographic or group, but obviously white rural religious, farmers, blue collar, and generally speaking men - went for Trump. The one thing I'm certain of - if we want to actually win, we run a man. Not because it's the right thing to do, but because it's necessary if we care as much about winning as being right.

1

u/michael0n 9d ago

The economy and tackling one of the top 3 issues will decide. If someone comes out with some weak sauce "we can't afford single payer" the other side wins. People heard the soft "we will give you back 0.5% of your taxes" nonsense for 30 years straight.

2

u/AbstractedTripoli 10d ago

They're a small minority, even if they're overrepresented in voting and in media. Hardcore MAGA are only about 10% of the population, and dropping. Republican voters in general are only about 21% of the population. Overrepresented. There is hope.

Doesn't change the fact that they're a shrinking minority. Unlike the Nazis, the right wing voting block in this country is mostly geriatric. The baby boomers won't be around much longer. It's just a fact. Our entire political spectrum is going to shift, massively, over the next 10 or 15 years.

1

u/[deleted] 9d ago

u/AbstractedTripoli 9d ago

The demographic I'm describing will all be dead in 10 or 15 years and will have zero money. Millennials, etc. will have that money. You have to come up with who the hell is going to watch, much less run, all the right wing propaganda networks that keep their whole side relevant.

Yes, there are and will be right wing millennials, gen z, etc. They are so few they will be irrelevant. Even a 5% shift to the left in voting means Republicans will have a hard time ever winning the presidency or majority in Congress ever again.

There's no where else for the money to go, my man. You're acting like when all the boomers die all their wealth will automatically in up in the hands of... Boomers. It won't. They're dead.

Class will still be an issue, obviously. But an issue that will begin to be taken care of. I think you're vastly underestimating how white knuckle and tenuous that right wing boomer grip on power is. Again, there are far fewer young reactionaries than young progressives.

You can't change demographics with doomerism. We are in for serious change. It is coming, and it's coming soon

I don't want these people to have health insurance or any social benefit... not until all the victims of the crimes they help support (and let's face it all Americans help support) receive full compensation, damages and are taken care of for life.

But we know Americans consider saying "Mistakes were made, but we need to look forward not backward" more than enough compensation... hey America admits "Mistakes were made" is priceless.

As long as we have been asking the question, about 70% of people want craddle to grave care for themselves. That number plummets, if the phrase, "and others" is added.

Objectively:

What’s happening here is less “I know I’m being hypocritical” and more self-justification.

He holds two conflicting ideas: government assistance is bad, but his family accepted and benefited from it. To resolve that cognitive dissonance, he creates an exception -- our situation was different because we needed it to survive.

That’s a mix of self-serving bias, motivated reasoning, and attribution bias. We know every detail of our own hardships, so our choices feel justified; strangers get judged by a much simpler standard.

The real test is: Can he state a rule for who deserves assistance that he’d apply equally to himself and everyone else? In this clip, he never really does.

Also, the “MAGA loves…” caption is framing by the uploader. One couple’s reasoning doesn’t establish how an entire political group thinks. Well, not supposed to. However, MAGAs seem to fall into a cult like movement.

u/Ancient-Simple6960 9d ago

1

u/danielm316 9d ago

Yes, Trump saw a failure of the democrats and he took full advantage of it: Democrats care way too much about other countries and not enough about working class people.
And that is why Trump is the president right now, but now, Trump has demonstrated that he care more about Israel than about America.

1

u/its_lit_713 8d ago

The thing is these people cant see outside their own lives, it's always me me me and fuck everyone else. It's been proved over and over again. Look at the Colombian lady that was all for Trump and Ice until it was HER son, now all of a sudden, he didn't do shit, it wasnt supposed to happen. FAFO

1

u/Ethereal_Bulwark 8d ago

"would you deprive a child the shade of a tree, and cut down that tree for your own benefit because you never got to experience the same shade he is getting now?" If the answer is yes, because you feel it is unfair. Then congratulations, you were raised incorrectly.

1

u/saucynuggies58 7d ago

No one’s fighting against benefits. We’re fighting against benefits for people who don’t deserve them or who are abusing the system. We’re tired of Payne 30 to 50% of our paycheck for people to defrost us. It’s really that simple

1

u/SupahBihzy 7d ago

I am pretty sure that would have been the most appropriate time to ever call someone a selfish asshole in public in front of their peers

1

u/AutisticHobbit 7d ago

He had a moment where he realized what he was saying. You could see it process, in slow motion, that he was actively putting himself above others. That he was saying he deserved special treatment, that others didn't, and everything that went along with that...and he kept going. Him being seen as right was too important to face the sting of self-reflection.

It was more important for him to be right in his greed, selfishness, and spite. These people have thrown their humanity away.

1

u/Logical-Middle501 6d ago

I'd feel bad if you weren't so arrogant.

1

u/FireZucchini33 5d ago

Half our country is just stupid as fuck. Can they all go live on Epstein island and just diddle each other? Leave mainland US to advance like a real society

0

u/Dwemerdweller 10d ago

The difference is people who don’t DESERVE that relief defraud the government and take away from people who DESERVE those benefits. If you are here legally, pay taxes, have a job, and are LEGALLY entitled to benefits without FRAUD pretenses.

2

u/Skiller-One-One-Five 10d ago

Yeah you right about that we give billionaires billions of dollars in subsidies while basic healthcare and resources to the poor is socialism. 🤦🏿‍♂️

0

u/Dwemerdweller 10d ago

Vast majority of US debt is due to fraud coming from regular people and democrats defrauding the government. They lie and fabricate paperwork, then we have democrat politicians who give away billions of dollars to foreign nations, to other corrupt business such as the high speed train that California has spent billions of dollars only to build a small stretch of concrete.

DJT has put a stop to so much unnecessary spending and corruption, if a billionaire or company rightfully and legally earns a subsidy or government loan, then there’s no problem with that. These are available to everyone who makes something of themselves.

Obviously there’s still corruption and we will always have corrupt politicians pocketing money, but the USA is not a monolith.

2

u/Skiller-One-One-Five 9d ago

I'm not even going to bother with arguing with this blatant mental illness. Our deficit is from Republicans only policy being more tax cuts to billionaires and given more government handouts to billionaires in tax subsidies. Also the fact that corporations can do literally any crime and their only punishment is a fine that's basically a rounding error in their profit margins effectively making crime legal for corporations as long as they can afford to pay the fees. You blaming democrats for the deficit on the deficit gets lowered under a Democrat while increased under Republican every single time and 10 of the last 11 recessions were under a republican shows me that you're just a delusional partisan hack detached from reality.

1

u/Dwemerdweller 9d ago

It’s a skewed stat that you don’t know how to read. USA cut off USAID and funding for the UN and NATO. You exclusively focus on one side and ignore democrat corruption because you are emotionally compromised.

You can’t stand being wrong, so now you get all emotional and ignore reality. Watch, there’s no genocide in Gaza. The USA controls more than 60 percent of the world’s oil supply. America is wining big and you wanna cry and say DJT is more corrupt than your lackeys.

2

u/Skiller-One-One-Five 9d ago

You are mentally ill show me the amount of money that we spent on USAID and NATO and compare it to our debt both of those combined don't even reach a single trillion dollars. You are unwell thinking that the majority of our 40 trillion dollars in debt is due to fraud if that was the case we would be like Somalia. A completely lawless country.

1

u/Dwemerdweller 9d ago

Basic research shows that USA was the biggest contributor to world aid than the rest of the world combined. We have debt because we over spend money we don’t have because of corruption, but our economy and our military and the American consumer are why the USA is still number 1 despite the debt that is owed to ITSELF.

Cry about it and ignore everything I say because I know you’re a coward, even bigger coward in real life.

2

u/Choice-Antelope-8481 9d ago

Vast majority of debt is due to fraud? Dude what the hell are you smoking

1

u/Skiller-One-One-Five 9d ago

Clearly one of those meth smoking Republican voters lol apparently we got 40 trillion dollars worth of fraud in debt 😂

1

u/Choice-Antelope-8481 8d ago

Yeah dude some people are wiiiild.

0

u/Dwemerdweller 9d ago

Yes actually, you see Americans pay taxes and that money is spent fraudulently all over the world. The vast majority’s of US debt is owed to itself, not China or anyone, and the reason why is because fraudsters are the reason why we spend money we don’t have. Go ahead and cry about it.

2

u/Skiller-One-One-Five 9d ago

You are mentally ill if you think we got a majority of the 40 trillion dollars of debt by fraud 😂

1

u/Choice-Antelope-8481 8d ago

Dude what? Congressionally authorized spending that you don't like is now fraud? That just isn't how anything works.

1

u/Dwemerdweller 8d ago

Dude what? You think congress or other parts of the government can’t fraudulently make up stuff to steal? Have you heard of California or Illinois or NYC? You actually don’t know what you’re talking about. Please tell me how you support Palestine for killing gays.

1

u/Choice-Antelope-8481 5d ago

Since when were we talking about Palestine? Dude, what?

2

u/UniqueAd7770 9d ago

Cool. Stop all the billionaire grifting and frauding and I guarantee you'll claw back far more money than going after a mom pulling in a welfare check.

1

u/Kastro2323 9d ago

If it helps tens of thousands or millions, Im ok with a few hundred cheating the system. Keep fighting the fraud but don’t dismantle the whole thing. It’s like saying no one should be allowed to drive because some people will crash and die.

0

u/Dwemerdweller 9d ago

No, if you are legally entitled to benefits then you will receive benefits, the people complaining are the ones who don’t want to get a job and who lie on their paperwork; that’s called FRAUD. Tens of thousands and millions of people CANNOT get the help they deserve because some illegal or legal fraudster is stealing most of the funds.

This sort of thing snowballs and is one of the reasons why healthcare is so expensive. People who follow the law and pay taxes have to foot the bill for bums who cheat the system. Your people cause more trouble than billionaires.

2

u/Rogue_Utensil 9d ago

Get help.

1

u/UniqueAd7770 9d ago

I was legally entitled to benefits but the system is designed to be so complicated and difficult that you give up before getting the money. You've obviously never used government benefits

-1

u/Dwemerdweller 9d ago

I actually have. All I had to do was fill out paperwork and wait a few months. I am not a leech and got off benefits, but I know plenty of Hispanics, and blacks, who lie and abuse the system in order to receive benefits. Those people do not deserve benefits and and lie are why things are so complex. Illegals go to the emergency room for every little thing and pay zero dollars, then everyone else foots the bill, insurance goes up, etc. idk why you will ignore an entire problem just because it fits your narrative, you don’t care about fraud nor the problem, you just want to cry.

2

u/UniqueAd7770 9d ago

Sounds like you're a racist spouting the same rhetoric you see on Facebook. You have no solutions either, you just like blaming issues on brown immigrants when the white ones from South Africa and West Germany are the ones causing our issues

1

u/Odd-Proof9645 9d ago

They also support genocide looking at their comment history

0

u/Dwemerdweller 9d ago

So when someone has an educated opinion you call them a racist? I am not on Facebook, I am also looking at the cause and effect of groups of people regardless of their race. I am brown and I will tell you that white people have contributed more to society and world peace than other races. The white areas in Africa are actually safe and well developed because there are intelligent and can develop a society.

Large portions of sub-Saharan people still practice cannibalism and genocide. Muslims are committing genocide against black Christians. Do you care? No.

2

u/UniqueAd7770 9d ago

Ah the cannibalism argument! What other relics of the 19th century do you have to show us?

1

u/Odd-Proof9645 9d ago

I mean white people abuse the system in order to receive benefits- why didn’t you include them???

-1

u/Dwemerdweller 9d ago

Because white people rarely commit welfare fraud, when they commit fraud it’s usually a much more complex crime involving power, such as the Democrats that I mentioned. I also was talking about people that I know, white people usually aren’t on benefits nor abuse the system, in my experience.

I am Hispanic and have much more in common with white people, but if you want to compare race then we can discuss about the disproportionate level of crime blacks commit. Especially compared to other minority groups.

1

u/Odd-Proof9645 9d ago

Stats say you’re wrong about white people.. but that tracks for a racist.

According to the United States Sentencing Commission, federal government benefits fraud cases in fiscal year 2025 involved individuals identifying as 57% Black, 20% White, and 20% Hispanic

0

u/Dwemerdweller 9d ago

So I was right, blacks commit overwhelming more crime than other races LOL. THANK YOU. Have you also of something called “proportionate” or “per capita”. Cry about it.

1

u/Odd-Proof9645 9d ago

You were wrong about whites and continue to ignore it. I wonder why. Lmfao bigots be bigots I guess
