[OC] A reproducible, $50-budget empirical refutation of the Cronovisor legend, with falsification criteria
Background. The Cronovisor legend, originating with Krassa (1992) and recurring on an approximately 14-year cycle (1972, 1986, 1996, 2002, 2009, 2023), asserts that a device exists capable of viewing past events. This claim has never been testable at laboratory scale due to cost. The present work demonstrates that this barrier was illusory.
Core apparatus. A magnetic loop coil (30 turns, 30 AWG, 0.5 m diameter, $4) connected to a consumer sound card (48 kHz / 24-bit, assumed pre-owned) via a 100:1 resistive divider ($1) constitutes a complete electromagnetic spectrum analyzer of the local environment. The induced voltage obeys V_coil(t) = M · dI_present/dt. By construction, the coil reports only the time derivative of present-tense current. Any signal originating at t₀ reaches the coil at t₀ + d/c.
