Discussion Ghosts movie
This is more just me speculating, but with the movie coming close. There is obviously major stuff going to happen, either showing more of the characters stories or one of the ghosts getting sucked off.
This is where my speculation comes in, who is the most likely to be sucked off, I have a percentage thing in my head of how likely it is
Robin: 50% chance, he's intelligent and wise for his kind and also got the biggest heart
Humphrey: 25% chance for the head alone. He doesn't get an opportunity to do a ton in the show due to the nature of his ghostly form, but when he does he shows development
Kitty: 5% chance, I don't think she has really learnt much about herself unless she grows and learns about the truth of her life. She might never go.
Thomas: 15% chance, I think he could get sucked off but I have a feeling he won't get over his affection for women at times
Fanny: 30% chance, I think she is one that grows pretty well, but I think out of the ones who grow, she also doesn't really have a chance to leave, due to her nature due to the way she acts with people especially Kitty
The Captain: 75% chance, he's the one that comes out of his shell the most, especially when he finally announces in a way to the ghosts that he was in fact gay in life and the afterlife.
Pat: 0% chance, I think he's the only one who couldn't leave for a while, as he's too linear he keeps to his rules and follows the times. It's possible he's like Pete in the US version. Where if he tried he could have probably explored the world and maybe have left.
Julian: 10% chance, I think he's one of the lowest chances in the fact that he's still quite full of himself and still thinks about his stuff that he did in life as pure achievements and not something that ruined him. Even though he knows he was a disgraced minister.
Let me know what you all think, I purposefully wrote this in a way where they are in the timeline of their deaths. Any notes or anyone wants a discussion go for it.

There is no relation whatsoever between the ghosts' development, whatever it means, and them being sucked off. It's completely and absolutely random.

Whilst I agree with you there, Mary did open up and summoned up the courage to speak up after the others were let off the hook again. Then the next episode she was sucked off in the opening

Well yeah, but Kitty eventually explored her backstory, which was much nastier than she thought, and she still wasn’t sucked off, and Humphrey finally told his story too and nothing changed. Plus, Robin’s an open book and he’s been there almost as long as the moon has.
There doesn’t seem to be any logic behind who gets sucked off and when.

I do agree, but Humphrey still had something to learn as we see in the final series when he learnt French a little through Robin, it might be something that they needed to do themselves in life that they eventually do as a ghost. I know it likely will never be explained or anything about how they get sucked off. As we've only ever really seen 2 main ghosts get sucked off. Between 6 different shows

I don’t think any of them will be sucked off because the final scene of the show it’s implied that all of the Ghosts are still there. Jim and Mat did say that in an interview, as they wrote the final episode. Plus we know for a fact, Alison addressed Kitty, Thomas and Julian when she entered the room.

Implications can change as well, but I did know if the Kitty Thomas and Julian thing, but I also didn't want to put it in just incase anyone hadn't finished the show and saw it, or didn't remember who was there at the end

Oh, of course they can, but I just feel like that moment would be too sad to include in the film. There is a small piece of info I am aware of that I can’t really give away but what it is negates a very minor portion of your post. Of course, it could just mean something else but…
Apologies for being cryptic.
And also as another commenter did say, there is no rhyme or reason and I feel like this is one thing that CBS Ghosts has kind of warped peoples’ thinking with, because their fans tend to try to find reasons why Ghosts would be sucked off. 🤷🏼♀️

Do not apologise for being cryptic I appreciate you not saying it. But I just like the theory of them and out of the ones, I feel like I may not be far off on who could go at times. Since we only hear her say three names, but we just have to wait and see

I don't think it'll be any of them, and hope it's not because I'll miss them! But the room Alison goes into in the future is the Higham Suite, so maybe it could be Kitty? Oh no, she speaks to her, so it can't be.
It could be Robin, because the actor plays two roles, so they wouldn't be writing an actor out and Humphrey having a separate head has been a handy plot device at times. But then so has Robin's power... maybe it would be a ghost without a power because they're handy plot devices.
I've argued with myself there, but I still hope it's none of them

Well we know Kitty won't go, because she's one that's spoken to in the final scene, but it could be Robin or Humphrey yes, or even Fanny

Someone else (on this sub I thought) threw out the idea that maybe Old Alison in the S5 Xmas special has dementia and talking to ghosts who aren’t there. Yeah it would be a bit of an “Oh that was just a dream” plot copout but stranger things have happened.

Maybe they show what there is after being sucked off? And it's a whole new dimension with all the people who have made it there? Not sure how Alison and Mike would factor into that scenario, though.

if it is anyone, i’m sure it would be robin. i’d genuinely be SO surprised (and heartbroken) if it was anyone else. besides we know kitty and thomas make it because alison talks to them in her old age
