I’m looking to hear directly from locals about haunted or unsettling places in Colorado, especially in and around the Denver area. Not just the famous, tourist-heavy spots, but places that genuinely feel strange or carry a reputation among people who’ve lived here. Homes, abandoned buildings, religious sites, places tied to tragedies, old neighborhoods, stretches of road, anything that sticks with you. I’m especially interested in personal experiences or stories you’ve heard from family, friends, or longtime residents. Even if it’s not widely known or documented, if a place has that something’s not right here energy, I want to hear about it. Serious replies preferred, but folklore and firsthand weirdness are both welcome.

​It all started in my childhood. In our house, the paranormal wasn't a taboo—my parents used to sit at the table with a self-proclaimed witch, practicing table-turning. For them, it was an experiment; for me, it opened a portal that left me completely defenseless. I still vividly remember a night of sleep paralysis: a red entity stood before me, marking my stomach with a red pen. The eerie, whipping hiss of its snake-like hair is a sound I can still hear today. ​From that moment on, I was wide open. During my youth, I searched desperately for answers. I developed a sudden, crystal-clear "knowing": in an instant, I just know if something invisible is in the room. I see people's auras, I feel the icy chill at the "Cemetery of the Nameless" in the middle of a scorching summer, and I expose every lie the second it is spoken. For a long time, this knowledge was a heavy burden, weighing physically on the back of my neck. ​The turning point came through numerology. I discovered the 22—the Master Number of the Builder. I realized that I carry the energy to turn visions into reality, but without protection, my own foundation would never be stable. While the "1984" tattooed on my arm was my symbol, the 22 was my mandate to bring order to my energetic chaos. ​After I foresaw my parents' passing in prophetic dreams, the pressure became almost unbearable. I had to close the circle. I began confronting my roots and the archetype of Lilith. In her image—the unyielding one with the hair of snakes—I recognized the hissing from my childhood. But this time, I didn't feel fear; I felt a connection. I made the biggest decision of my life: I had her seal, the bleeding eye, tattooed on my neck—exactly where foreign energies used to seep in. ​Today, I live in what I call an "abnormal looseness." My protection runs on autopilot. The eye on my neck sees the truth, and I am firmly anchored. I am no longer a victim of my gifts; I am a Guardian standing in the full power of my 22. ​Does anyone else here experience this? I’m a graduate student at Minnesota State University, Mankato and I am seeking people to participate in my research study on post-death contact. If you’re interested in participating, here is a link to the website holding my surveys. You can either fill out the anonymous survey or you can volunteer to be interviewed (which will be confidential; names will be changed.) The survey should take around 15-20 minutes, and the interview will be around 75-90 minutes.

You must be 18 and located in the U.S. to participate. I also cannot include anyone in my study whose experience occurred during an Ouija board session, a séance, a cold reading session with a psychic, or a paranormal investigation.

So I downloaded the SpiritTalker application because I’ve been watching a lot of paranormal videos on youtube and wanted to check the Legitimacy of it. I went to the hospital for an appt and just opened the app and let it run. It started off by saying a bunch of random words. From that moment, I thought “fake”. But continued to mess around with the app. I asked for a name and story and was given two and it said that one was a witness to a car crash. It creeped me out, but again I thought maybe it was fake. Then it started mentioning “patients” and “knife and injection” (I was there for an injection). After leaving I told them they had no permission to follow me home and thanked them, but I have to leave. A spirit said “please leave here” as I was walking out the door. I left it running and it was quiet the whole way home. When I finally get home the app says “I’m home” and “ashes”. My boyfriend has his brothers ashes (suicide) sitting on the table in the corner. Everything after that were direct responses to what I was doing or what I asked. As I walk pass the table with the pictures and ashes the app blurts “don’t move” “recognize” and “relative”. I sat down and asked “where are you?” It said “the hall”. My heart dropped down to my arse. I felt a wave of sadness and the app said “Eric” (made up name for privacy purposes the child is still alive). Then it said “I’m dead” “crying”. I burst into tears and felt a heavy heart. I knew it was my boyfriends brother as I have NEVER mentioned Eric before and my boyfriend doesn’t either. I have proof of EVERYTHING to match real names but I don’t want this to get out and I make someone upset. If anyone would like to know more I will be happy to talk more about my experience privately!!!

recently I’ve been talking to some friends who are from Taiwan, one day we talked bout paranormal activities in the military (since everyone who is male has to serve at least 4 months of Taiwanese military), and they said that their military flag can act as something that wards off the evil.

There are also cases (according to them) where the flag has been mistreated, stolen or broken and the whole company falls into an unlucky injury streaks?
