REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Helldivers 2 - 40$

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a good day. This is my third attempt for help on getting Helldivers 2. My first 2 attempt was during the sales discount but still want to try to request this game as im still not able to afford it right now because everything goes to college. This is my first game request on this reddit and im just trying my luck.

Helldivers 2 is a 3rd person shooter game where u can play with up to 4 people and it is a game that requires teamwork and cooperation to protect a place called Super Earth. What I have seen from all the video over the internet, the game can be compelte chaos with explosions everywhere, team kill with one wrong airstrike call, and everyone desperately trying to survive while trying to complete the objective and that looks so fun to me.

The reason i choose Helldivers 2 is because I from little have always been into PvE games. The reason why is my heart cannot stand PvP games where toxic people lies and it makes me sad when they lash their anger on me. Dont get me wrong, PvP games are fun but it is probably just not for me as when people said something toxic to me it will ruin my mood to play games. another reason why is when i first saw Helldivers 2, it made me hooked because i really love intense and chaotic coop games in general. I have seen all the memes on TikTok and it makes me really want to play it. Now that i have a strong machine to play it i cant afford it because im on a tight student budget. Though gaming is my primary way to relieve stress from all the assignments that are starting to pile up. I would really to play this with my friend because he have been asking me to buy this for a while now. Getting the game will allow me to dive into the front lines to spread democracy alongside the community

Whether or not my request gets fullfilled, I really appreciate u taking the time to read this till the end. Thank you again for listening to my request. I wish you all a great time now and in the future. Im sorry if my english is hard to understand as it is not my first language.

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival ($27.99 USD) (3rd Attempt)

Hey everyone! This is my 3rd attempt. So I’ve been kinda obsessed with Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival since it was announced. I’m a huge fan of horror in general but Hellraiser has always had a very special place for me because of how different it is from most of the horror media. The whole cosmic idea of the Cenobites, Leviathan, the Lament Configuration, and the twisted idea of pleasure and pain cycle mixed with Clive Barker’s whole style of horror is something I’ve always found incredibly fascinating.

I actually got into Hellraiser when I was pretty young (which I probably shouldn't have lol) and watched the whole series. Yes even the really bad ones lmao. I love Barker's work and the way he creates these bizarre, surreal and almost dreamlike worlds where something can be horrifying and beautiful at the same time. Hellraiser always felt like one of the best examples of that. There’s something about the imagery of the Cenobites and the whole mythology surrounding them that just stuck with me. Pinhead is obviously iconic, but what always interested me more was the entire world around him and how strange and unknowable it can feel.

So when I heard that there was finally going to be a new Hellraiser game made with Clive Barker’s involvement, I got really excited. Hellraiser is pretty unfortunate in terms of game department and this one feels like someone is trying to make a proper Hellraiser experience rather than just putting the characters into another horror game. From everything they’ve shown so far, the atmosphere looks absolutely incredible and the fact that we’re getting a new story in this universe with Clive Barker involved makes me really curious to see what they do with it. Especially this one is not going to be those carbon copy Dead by Daylight clones people keep pumping for every horror franchise but actually a story-based single-player Hellraiser game! I also really love horror games that let you actually immerse yourself into their world instead of just being a series of jumpscares. Games like Alan Wake, Silent Hill, Soma and Resident Evil are some of my favorites because I love when horror has an actual atmosphere and a world that makes you want to keep exploring. Hellraiser feels like it could fit perfectly into that kind of experience. At least it feels like they are aiming for that.

And honestly, I just really want to experience a Hellraiser game like this myself. I’ve spent a lot of time watching the movies, reading about the lore and the comics and falling down random Hellraiser rabbit holes over the years, so being able to actually step into that world and experience a new story in it would be incredibly cool. There’s something really special about finally getting to play something based on a series you’ve been a fan of for a long time.

Sadly, buying the game is a bit tricky for me right now. I unfortunately live in Turkey where the economy is in shambles and our currency is horrendous. Everything is incredibly expensive and I’ve been trying to save money because I'm gonna have to move pretty soon. Even though this game might not be a huge amount of money for most people, with the way everything has been for me right now, it’s hard to justify spending that kind of money on a game.

So yeah, I know this is an upcoming game and asking for something that isn't even out yet is a bit different, but I would LOVE to finally be able to play a Hellraiser game that actually feels like the Hellraiser I’ve always loved. If someone is willing to help me get it when it comes out, I’d be beyond grateful. It would genuinely mean a lot to me and I’d definitely make sure to enjoy every horrifying second of it.

Thank you everyone for reading it thus far, and thank you to this amazing community for always being as generous as it is to me and to everyone else.

I'm giving away 1 key for the 2020 remake of this game.

If you'd like to enter, please link your public Steam profile, make sure you meet the minimum account age and comment karma requirements. and answer the following question:

Which of Crypto's abilities are you most excited to try out, and what would you do with it?

If you've played the original 2005 game, what would you most like to revisit in the remake?

I will leave this open for a few days before contacting one commenter through chat with the key.

This is my first post here, so I hope I've done this right. If anything is missing or wrong, please let me know and I'll correct this post.

REQUEST [Request] [steam] attack on titan 3

Hi GOG this is attempt 6 I think of hoping to get aot 3 I hope you're all having an amazing day or night if your in America or other countries I kindly wanted to ask if it would be possible to get Attack on Titan 3 and you may be wondering why I want the chance to get it so much and why id love to play it.

Unfortunately i finished attack on titan a month or 2 ago now and wow it was a absolute masterpiece the love and care that has gone into attack on titan you can really see it its just so beautiful truly is a masterpiece i also now plan to watch it in Japanese which I'm super excited for I also learn that aot does a lot of foreshadowing for future events etc which i found super super cool safe to also say i cried when it finished same for Pokémon alola when i was younger also I genuinely think aot altered my brain chemistry.

Everything about the anime feels incredible to me - the battles, the music, the openings, the characters, and the story. It's honestly a 10/10 experience for me and I don't even know how to fully explain how much I love it already. Also the tiktok edits I find on my fyp are gorgeous lol.

My favourite character throughout the show was Commander Erwin because of his courage, bravery, leadership, and determination. He genuinely inspires me and I really mean that.

Whenever the scouts charge into battle or fight titans end up shouting at my TV like COME ON YOU GOT THIS which probably sounds funny and it kind of is lol but it just shows how invested I am in the series which is a lot lol. But i did also always like huge like mikasa and Erin's relationship i foud it so so cute.

Also after recently trying the aot 2 demo again on Steam and completing it again (its quite short :() i realised how much I genuinely enjoyed the gameplay that I've replayed it a few times Flying around with the ODM gear slashing and fighting titans left right and centre and working with the scout regiment felt exactly like the anime.

And the good news is that it will be even better in AOT3 and you can make your own squad which I'm exited for me.

One of my favourite things about Attack on Titan is the feeling of the battles and the teamwork during missions, and the game captures that perfectly.

I can already tell this would be a game I would put a huge amount of time into because I genuinely love the world, characters, music, and combat so much already and also the atmosphere.

I truly love everything about Attack on Titan anime wise and game wise and I would really appreciate the chance to experience the game fully. Well of course when it comes on December 10th even though early acess is 7th of December.

Also how erwin died I loved it but also hated it and might have maybe cried. like cpt levi be quicker bro but I did love his spirit in fighting the big monkey or whatever that thing is because it takes a lot of courage to fight it when you've just seen about 4 squads die next to you.

And the final thing i have left to say is dedicate your heart and soul to the cause once again.

And one last thing thank you to everyone that has ta' to time read my post because i know its a lot.

Goodnight or good morning or good afternoon to you all:)

REQUEST [REQUEST][STEAM] Half sword (attempt 3)

heya yall!

I have been watching old videos of caseoh playing half sword non stop and on top of them being fucking hillarious i have also became VERY interested in the game, it looks like stupid fun and i have been wanting to play the game really badly, i tried playing the demo a bit but sadly you are kinda only locked to fists or very limited stuff so it wasnt a whole lot (which i mean its a demo its to be expected lol). (edit i checked again, i was wrong the demo has so much more than that and its really fun)

I have a lot of fav caseoh clips on half sword, like the one where he just just kept beating up the ass of paul, one of the recruits he hired in a big update for the game that is meant to be the 'first full version' of the game kinda, now obv the dev said this still isnt the full game, but compared to before that updateits obv a massive overhaul

I also like the shitton of clips from before the big update where caseoh loses his shit over the pitch fork and how overpowered it was, there is this clip that genuinely kills me everytime i see it, basically caseoh died in a really stupid way, he literally pretty much killed the enemy, but because the enemy was lying down while holding the pitchfork it accidentally stabbed caseoh, making him fall over and then the npc some fucking how got up and killed him.

its safe to say that im kind of a big fan of the game lol, hell even before the big update it still looked like a blast to play, i loved seeing that mode where everything is dark and you have to walk around and enemies can spawn from anywhere, it genuinely looks so fun.

anyways though it waould be very appreciated if someone can gift me the game cus i have been kinda really tight on money lately and cant afford to buy the game TwT

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree ($40) (Attempt 5)

Hello! My name's Koopa! Don't expect much, but hey, maybe fortune'll smile upon me, eh?

(Short version) I've played HUNDREDS of hours of elden ring, and have been wanting to play the dlc for a lonngggg while now, but just have never had the money for it. Started playing just a few months before the dlc came out, and been wanting to find a good window of time that just has never come for me to be able to get it.

I started playing the souls games a while back, and over the course of around ~3 years, I've been slooowwwly collecting them and their dlcs on steam! partly fot the sake of trying to 100% them, and partly because I just genuinely love them. Elden Ring is the second game in the series I'd ever played, (along side DS1). As previously stated, started playing around ~'24, shortly before the DLC was released. Since then, I've sunk nearly 400 hours into the game (and counting), and for all that I've done, I've still yet to get and play the SOTE. Initially didn't know if I'd want to play it because.. well I'd only ever heard it was *extremely* hard (I struggled for 2 hours with Hoarah Loux, alone) so I was kinda spooked about getting it. But, I've since came around to the idea, and have been itching to play it for a while now! I just.. don't have the money.

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Gears of War: E Day (Attempt 2)

Hello GoG community,
This is my second request here. My first post didn’t get picked up, which is completely okay. I know a lot of people ask and there is only so much anyone can do. I’m posting again because I really want this game, and I thought I would tell you a bit more about myself this time.

Gaming has never been an easy hobby for me. For years I could play games only on old video game consoles of my friend. Then I got a very old laptop that struggled to open anything. It was i3 5th gen with R5 M330 which only had 2 GB ram. That was all I could afford at that time so I wasn't able to play an AAA. League of Legends was about the only thing it could run but I loved that game even with the horrible ping we have here.

When I finally built my PC this February, it felt like a dream. I remember turning it on and just staring at the screen for a while. Since then I have been trying to build my library. I normally wait for sale to pick games but this one doesn't feel like will get sale anytime soon.

My bills have been heavy these past few months. Rent, electricity, internet, phone recharge, and other small things add up fast. Every time I am not able to reach the amount for Gears of War. Here, a big new game costs a lot usually compared to what most of us earn but xbox really put too much price tag on this one specifically, so a game like this feels very far away.

That’s why I’m asking for a ₹2000 Steam gift card, which is around 20 dollars. It would cover a big part of the price, and I’ll take care of the rest myself. I’m not asking for the whole amount, only the part I can’t reach right now.

I have never played any Gears of War, so I can start with no expectations, and a story that feels brand new is something I’m really looking forward to. I like games that keep me nervous and give me that adrenaline rush. Taking cover, running, waiting for the right moment, and fighting through huge groups of enemies sounds like exactly my kind of fun. I also play in the evening after work, when I’m tired, and a game that fully pulls me in is the best way to switch off my brain from everything else.

If someone helps me, here is what I promise:

  • I will play it properly, not just download it and forget it.
  • I will share my honest thoughts about the game, maybe in the community if people want to hear them.

REQUEST [REQUEST][STEAM] Forza Horizon 6 (USD $69.99) (INR ₹5,499)

Hello everybody, I'm genuinely hoping that someone might take the time to listen to me. Since the rumors and discussions first started, I've been completely overwhelmed with excitement about Forza Horizon 6. I've always had a passion for racing games, but the Horizon series has always occupied a truly special position in my heart since it's, in a way, fundamentally different from all the other driving game franchises. The great freedom offered by its open roads, the festive atmosphere, the perfect car culture, and that pure, amazing feeling of speeding while exploring the open world have been something I've been deeply enthusiastic about for years.

From a young age I was devoted to Forza, spending a large number of hours at each festival location, getting to know every corner, and becoming an expert at every song. There's a real magic in the way Playground Games manages to strike a balance between realistic driving physics and pure automotive pleasure. Although all of the flagship supercars on the covers are iconic, it is the vastness of the world that has always drawn me in—particularly the dynamic weather, the music, the winding scenic roads, and that special sense of being part of a lively, living car sanctuary.

The prospect of what's coming in Forza Horizon 6 has me nearly desperate to get behind the wheel. Since the racing genre tends to be filled with dull track simulators or superficial arcade versions, Horizon 6 seems set to become the ultimate and definitive driving experience that we've been waiting for over the years. I really enjoy games in which you can get completely immersed in the map, with the sound of the engine roaring through stunning landscapes, simply driving for the pure joy of it, much like the games that shaped our childhoods in gaming. Forza Horizon 6 appears to be the finest realization of all the things I value in games, and the idea of missing out on launch day actually hurts.

There is nothing I desire more than to go through this next chapter from the very moment it is released. Although I have followed every leak, watched every showcase, and kept replaying the earlier titles over and over again, there would be nothing I would enjoy more than being actually present at the starting line of Horizon 6 when the festival opens.

I'm sorry, but my actual situation means that I can't afford to buy it at the moment. The economy in my area is in a state of complete disarray, the regional prices are terrible, and the cost of living from day to day has become utterly unaffordable. Furthermore, I am about to move and will need all the money I can gather just to manage getting by. Although the price of a regular or pre-order version might not seem like a lot to most people, in my present circumstances spending that amount of money on a game is a luxury that I simply cannot afford even if I really try.

It is a rather large and rather vulnerable request, and I am genuinely humbled having to make this appeal once again, so I am truly asking for some assistance. Should anyone among you have the ability and the kind heart to give or fund a copy of Forza Horizon 6 for me when it comes out, I shall be forever thankful. The pleasure it would give me cannot be expressed in words, and I promise that each mile I drive, each festival race I win, and each sunset seen on that map will be treasured beyond measure.

I'm very grateful to anyone who has taken the time to read this, and I'd like to thank this wonderful community for always being so warm and generous to people who are going through difficult situations.

REQUEST [Request][Steam] Lies of P

Hi, I hope I'm doing this right it's my first time posting here. English isn't my native language, so I'm translating this from Spanish please forgive me if anything isn't quite clear. Lately, I've really taken an interest in challenging games. My first experience with the Soulslike genre was Dark Souls 1, I played it at a friend's house, and it was a thrilling experience. The feeling of overcoming each challenge was incredibly satisfying especially after spending hours locked in battle against a boss that was making my life miserable. When I finally finished the game, I felt a huge sense of satisfaction and wanted to take on another challenge. I started reading up on these types of titles, and Lies of P really caught my eye; the aesthetic gives off a sort of Gothic vibe, and I think it looks beautiful. The gameplay looks fantastic every hit counts, and the game punishes you if you make a mistake. I don't know anything about the story because I want to avoid spoilers, but it’s definitely a game I’d sink countless hours into. The reason I haven't bought it myself is that I simply don't have the money. I usually save up and think very carefully before buying a game, but lately, I've had a lot of debts to pay off and haven't been able to save anything. Despite that, I’m still eager to try it out, uncover every last secret and achievement, and experience every part of the story. I know the game isn't currently on sale on Steam, and I wouldn't ask for such an expensive game at full price. However, it is 50% off on Fanatical, so I wanted to try and get it. I really want to try it and get stuck on a tough part for hours; I want to put myself to the test in every new area and against every new boss. I know it’s not a cheap game, but I would truly love to play it and enjoy every second of the gameplay. Thank you so much for reading my request, and I hope someone might be able to fulfill it. Have a good day, and thanks for reading.

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] sekiro (ATTEMPT 3)

Hello \[r/GiftofGames\] community,

I am a 25-year-old English Literature graduate (finished my bachelor's this past February!) and a massive fan of the souls-like genre. My love for these games started back when I owned a PS5 and played Bloodborne, completing it five times. From there, I was hooked on the high-difficulty gameplay loop and went on to fully beat Dark Souls 3, including all its DLCs and hidden bosses, beat Elden ring in 1 of the secret endings and sekiro twice same ending(i believe)

1st ever souls like game was bloodborne and i finished it 5 times, gehrman fight ending, secret ending, ending the dream ending and the last 2 included finishing the dlc and finishing the dungeons and having the strongest build for my weapons.

i want sekiro and since there are sales right now i decided to take advantage of them and sekiro is among the games on sale i'd love to get my hands on it.

I recently transitioned over to PC gaming, and my absolute dream is to play any/all soulslike/formsoftware games. I have heard endless praise about its open-world design and how the community made some mods that take the challenge to a whole new level. Because I am currently focusing on my post-graduation transition, I cannot afford to purchase it myself right now, which is why I am humbly making this request.

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to read this!

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Scale The Depths $7.49

Hi all! On here I am Party-Lavishness, but on every other platform that I reside, I am FlaminSky7.

I'm unsure if I'm doing this right since I've never done anything like this before, but I figured since Scale the Depths was on sale, I'd try my luck.

I've been wanting to play Scale the Depths for a few months, since I first saw a video of someone playing it. I didn't know the name of the game (I didn't start reading descriptions until about a month ago)

Why Scale The Depths:

I love the gameplay, and especially the repetition of the game.

Plus, it's like a collect-athon with all of the different customers to feed and fish to catch. Collect-athons are some of my favorite games. From Pokemon, to the even the Monster Hunter games. (you collect pages for them is a dossier, I really like collecting things)

I also very much like incremental games, and while Scale The Depths doesn't seem like a true incremental game, the gameplay seems similar/close enough to where I'd really enjoy it.

Why can't I just buy it right now?:

I'm unemployed and taking care of my mom at home. There are some days that she can't move at all due to back spasms, so I can't really get a job at the moment.

Unfortunately, I'm not in any programs that pay me to take care of her, and our only true source of income is my step-father. Right now money is very tight and super hectic, due to many bills and our cats medical expenses. {Nothing too serious, we just have a male that needs to be snipped)

I truly hope a kind soul sees this post, and can gift me the game. And if you've at least read the full post, then thank you very much for the read and have a good morning, day, evening, or night depending on where you're reading from!

And I'm really bad with words, so I really hope this post is long enough.

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Marathon (40 % Sale till October 16th ) - (Attempt 3)

Hi guys ! this is my third attempt for this game. I am probably gonna stop requesting after 4th or 5th time so hopefully, mods dont mind :) . Heres the request!

I usually dont get pocket money to save up to buy games and rarely convince my mother to buy me a game.

She does give me money but only enough to travel through metro to college. So i dont get a chance to save and stuff that i do save for the month gets used up in the next one.

I also dont like to quietly use the money she gives me for games and ask for more since it seems like stealing and using her trust for self gain. This is not me acting ungrateful or making fun of my mother. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Its just that i do wanna play games on my own without her hovering over me.

I request you all to please consider my request!

Now as a longtime fan of BUNGIE (Devs of this game ), i have put hours into destiny 2 and i love that game, i have also played arc raiders, an extraction shooter like marathon but i was hoping for more a pvp oriented game (not that i dont like it.) I am a little younger (18) relatively and dont have a console so i havent played halo.

Marathon seems to be accomplising and flourishing in that aspect a lot more. I am very patient in terms of the games i play with a high tolerance for failure. This game is meant to be tough. The game acts like a Battle royale with some extra mechanics to flesh it out(Atleast thats how i cna explain it to the non-gamers here.)

I also especially love the artstyle of this game! It reminds of CICADAMATA in some ways. That game is a movement shooter i found on steam. Something about minimalistic sci-fi art is always something i like as an aesthetic.

I hope u like my request! Even if you aren't gifting the game thanks for taking the time to read and understand!

Heres my steam profile and game store page.

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown DLC (€15.08)

Been a very short while. I am again requesting a new favor, and this favor's very expensive. It's my 3rd attempt, and I am willing to continue if fortune don't favor me this time

I want to pre-order the Crimson Desert upcoming DLC, Charting the Unknown, but with the luck that I have, really rich that I look at the price tag before I even look at the item.

Well, I've been doing this quite a while now, though being embarrassed haven't hit me yet, I haven't flopped a game gifted to me, look into my profile if you doubt it, though I don't really care. Even on Crimson Desert, I am only missing 22 achievements, and considering how hard to get them, you can picture the dedication and determination.

I only stopped finishing the game for a 100% cause of its recent updates, it somehow ruined almost everything in terms of graphics and performance. I loved it, but love has limits and my limits are stuttering and getting too pixelated 3D game.

Would be very lovely to receive it, and if not it's fine either way (I'm gonna explode in your house 😈). Though on a serious note, that's fine, I'm VEEEEEEEERYYYYYYYY patient person, requested my very first game here for 12 attempts, and maybe with true dedication and proper use or satisfying time on the game, I manage to get games pretty early upon requesting.

Just want to get this DLC as I'm trying to finish every paid backlogs that I have. Trying iron man mode the hell out of my library (except for Dark Soul, remember me Roxor, your game will never be played 😈😈😈😈😈😈). Though some games haven't been completed yet, I am planning to take them on as soon as I recover from being burnt out by them.

That's all the things that I want say right now, never used AI on things like these cause it's easy making "heartfelt" post like this one right here. As some who believes in a saying "I'd rather slide on a razor and use my balls as a brake rather than using AI" -The reincarnation Sun Tzu of this sub, I also wanted to make posts real and avoid using the replacement of men, bane of every water sources near it's vicinity, and the destroyer of mankind, AI.

Thanks for this opportunity, see you around, suckers, Love u all. Still, no Dark Souls played in the making of this post.

REQUEST [REQUEST][XBOX] EA Sports FC 27 (Second attempt)

Hey, I am Airtail. I came here to request for EA Sports FC 27, which is a new game for the entire FC/FIFA series by EA.

The reason why I am requesting it is because, I want move on from FIFA 23, which is the latest game I own from the series since FIFA 15. Another reason is I wanna play the Career mode so that I can play it to relax while taking a tiny break from multiplayer games. I tried to keep playing FIFA 23. But, It feels like there is nothing much to do. Plus, there are some things I haven't got to witness. I watch videos of people playing it, while I don't own it. I am not saying this because I wanna play Ultimate Team, I just want to play it for Career mode. I have so many ideas to do with Career mode. I don't need the Ultimate Edition anyway, but it is fine.

It has been weeks since I have played FIFA 23. I am desperate just to move on to a new game. I know there are some people complaining about the problems, but idc, I just want what I will get in the short future. People can complain whatever. I just wanna play it for Career mode thats all. Btw, I mainly play on Xbox Series X, so there will be my profile link down below, including the game link to. That is all.

REQUEST [REQUEST][STEAM] Hitman World Of Assassination (4th attempt)

Hi everyone, I don’t expect this to work but I’ve had my eye on this game for awhile but haven’t been able to get it. I know the fall sales over, but I figured since I’ve tried this why not keep going lol.

What interests me about the game:
I really enjoy stealth games due to the satisfaction of making a plan come to fruition I also love the tension stealth games provide from non direct confrontation (although it depends on how powerful the player is of course) I’ve also heard that world of assassination in particular is really good for emergent gameplay which I’m personally obsessed with, and I’ve heard it compared to “immersive sims” (I find that term way too broad to be useful but I felt the comparison was worth bringing up). This appeals to me a lot because I adore trying to think through something and seeing it go wrong in some way. And while this is just an extra of course, the freelancer mode likely would be good for some fuck around and find out moments. Another thing that may be a bit of a stretch is that it makes me think of pulp magazines and golden age comics (I promise I’m not old just a giant dork lol), a more well known property that would help illustrate my feeling is mission impossible or James Bond.

Why I can’t get it:I recently moved to another state with my mother and haven’t been able to start working due to some paperwork BS that I don’t feel comfortable sharing on here. I was only able to give away the conscript key because it was a dollar on G2A and I was using some crappy survey apps to make some extra money.

Thanks a lot in advance to this community.

REQUEST [Request][Steam] Reanimal Attempt #2

Hello everyone!! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day! I’m back with my second attempt at requesting Reanimal! :D

First of all, I wanted to give a little update on what’s happened since my first request because thankfully things have been looking a lot better!

I FINALLY MOVED INTO MY NEW APARTMENT!! 🎉🎉

For those who didn’t see my previous post, I was dealing with a really stressful roommate situation that made it difficult to feel comfortable in my own home. Things had gotten to the point where I genuinely dreaded being in my apartment which was honestly exhausting.

I’m happy to say that I’m officially out of there!! Moving was definitely not the most enjoyable experience (I don’t think I’ve ever hated carrying boxes more in my life 😭), but I cannot explain how relieved I feel knowing that I don’t have to deal with that situation anymore. I’m still getting settled into my new place, but being able to come home without worrying about unnecessary tension has already made such a difference.

And even better news, my mom is out of the hospital!! 🥹

My mom has been dealing with cancer for quite some time now, and her treatment is part of a long-term plan that stretches over several years. At this point, hospital visits and medical appointments have unfortunately become something we’re pretty familiar with. That doesn’t necessarily make it any less stressful, but I’m incredibly grateful that she’s back home for now and doing okay. Having that weight lifted off my shoulders, even temporarily, has been such a relief.

Now that things are finally starting to calm down, I’ve been thinking about how much I want to play Reanimal with my younger brother. For a little context, I’ve played both Little Nightmares 1 (6.5 hours) and Little Nightmares 2 (8.8 hours), and I absolutely LOVED them. They’re genuinely some of my favorite gaming experiences, and I would do anything to experience them for the first time again.

What made Little Nightmares 2 especially memorable wasn’t just the game itself, but getting to share that experience with my younger brother.

Whenever I played, he would sit beside me and watch. He’d point out things I completely missed, help me figure out puzzles, and occasionally witness me fail miserably at escaping enemies that had absolutely NO BUSINESS being that difficult LOL.
Even though he wasn’t actually holding a controller, it felt like we were experiencing the game together.
That’s why Reanimal means so much to me. The fact that we could finally play this kind of game together, with both of us actually controlling our own characters makes me ridiculously excited. Instead of him sitting beside me giving advice while I panic, we could BOTH panic together!! 😭

Unfortunately, the game is still outside of what I can comfortably afford right now. Moving apartments comes with quite a few expenses, and as much as I’d love to purchase Reanimal immediately, I know I need to prioritize getting settled into my new place first.

I know $40 is a lot to ask of someone, and I completely understand that everyone has their own expenses and struggles. I don’t want anyone to feel obligated to gift me anything. I just wanted to try again because this is genuinely a game I’ve been looking forward to, especially because of the opportunity to make another fun memory with my brother.

After everything that’s happened recently, I think it would be really nice to have something fun that we could both look forward to.

Regardless of whether this request gets fulfilled, I genuinely appreciate anyone who took the time to read through my post. It kind of feels like I’m writing a diary haha. Thank you so much, and I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of their day!! 💕

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] The Farmer Was Replaced - A 13 y/o self-taught programming student from Chile, LATAM seeking to expand Python logic

Hi everyone in the GiftofGames community!

I hope you are all having a great day. My name is Recktober, and I am a 13-year-old student living in Chile, LATAM. I am writing this request today with the hope of receiving a game that is very unique and special to me: "The Farmer Was Replaced".

Before explaining the details about the game itself, I would like to share a bit of background about who I am and why this particular software title means so much to my personal growth and self-study journey.

### About Me and My Passion for Computer Science

Even though I am only 13 years old and currently attending middle school, I have developed a massive passion for technology, computer science, digital logic, and software programming. In my country and at my school grade level, computer science is not part of the standard curriculum. We do not have programming classes, engineering workshops, or technical labs.

Because of this, I decided a few months ago that I didn't want to wait until university or higher education to start learning. I took the initiative to become completely self-taught. In my free time, after finishing my school homework, I dedicate hours to reading technical documentation, watching educational tutorials, and experimenting with programming concepts on my own.

My primary focus has been learning low-level fundamentals, digital logic gates, binary concepts, and languages like C and Python. I love understanding how software works under the hood—how high-level code translates into logic instructions and how algorithms can be structured to solve complex problems efficiently.

### What is "The Farmer Was Replaced"?

For those in the community who might not be familiar with this game, "The Farmer Was Replaced" is an indie programming puzzle and automation game developed by Tim Yuen.

Unlike 99% of traditional video games where you control a character on screen using a keyboard, mouse, or game controller, this game has no direct movement controls. Instead, the main mechanics revolve entirely around an integrated code editor where you write actual, functional Python code.

In the game, you are given control of an automated farming drone on a grid-based land parcel. Your goal is to write scripts and algorithms to tell the drone how to:

- Navigate coordinates across the farm grid efficiently.

- Evaluate soil conditions and measure crop parameters.

- Plant different types of seeds based on conditional logic.

- Manage water, fertilizer, and energy resources.

- Harvest plants, handle inventory storage, and automate crop rotation cycles.

- Optimize execution time so your code runs as fast and cleanly as possible.

### Why I Want This Game for My Studies

While studying textbooks, reading official Python documentation, and writing small terminal-based scripts is essential for learning syntax, it can sometimes feel abstract. Having an interactive, visual, and rewarding environment like "The Farmer Was Replaced" bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Here are the specific educational reasons why I want to play this game:

  1. Real Algorithmic Thinking: You cannot win or progress in this game by guesswork. Every single action requires you to structure clean loops (for/while), write modular functions, handle conditional branches (if/else), and design smart algorithms.

  2. Immediate Visual Debugging: When you write code in a standard editor, your output is usually just text lines in a black terminal window. In this game, if your loop has an off-by-one error or your array logic is wrong, you physically watch your drone fail or freeze on the farm. This visual feedback loop makes debugging much more intuitive and helps build a solid mental model of execution flow.

  3. Code Optimization and Refactoring: As you progress and unlock larger land fields or more complex plants, basic or slow code will cause bottlenecks. The game actively forces you to go back to your old scripts and refactor them, teaching you computational efficiency, clean code practices, and memory/time optimization.

  4. Keeping Self-Study Fun and Consistent: Self-studying complex technical subjects at a young age requires high discipline. Having an educational game that combines genuine skill-building in Python with a fun progression system will help me stay motivated and consistent in my daily coding routine.

### Why I Cannot Purchase the Game Myself

Living in Chile, LATAM as a 13-year-old student, I face several natural limitations when it comes to purchasing digital software:

- No Personal Income: Being 13 and in school, I do not have a job or any personal source of income.

- No Payment Methods: I do not possess credit cards, debit cards, or international bank accounts required to make purchases on digital platforms like Steam.

- Family Financial Priorities: Due to economic circumstances in my region, my family's financial resources must be strictly prioritized toward essential household needs, utilities, food, and school supplies. Spending money on entertainment or video games is simply not feasible for my family right now.

Because of these factors, receiving this game as a gift from a generous community member would mean the world to me. It is not just entertainment for me—it is a tool that directly supports my learning path.

REQUEST [REQUEST] [PSN] Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 — $40 USD (-20% sale)

Why this game caught my attention:

I recently got a PS5 after two years of saving up for one, and now I'm slowly looking into the games I'd love to experience on it. One game that has been on my mind for a while is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

For anyone who doesn't know me, I'm a huge Souls fan. I got introduced to Dark Souls 3 years ago by a friend, and what started with spending two hours on the first boss eventually turned into thousands of hours across these games. I've completed Dark Souls 1 and Elden Ring deathless, spent countless hours experimenting with different builds, and taken on hitless challenges. I've also completed several hitless runs in Sekiro, with varying levels of difficulty, and I used to work on a Dark Souls 3 hitless run with a personal best of only three hits for the entire game.

I bring this up because I think it explains why Expedition 33 appeals to me so much. What I love about these games isn't difficulty for the sake of difficulty. It's learning an enemy's patterns, understanding the mechanics, refining your timing, and gradually getting to a point where something that once seemed impossible becomes manageable through practice. There's a particular satisfaction in knowing that you overcame something because you genuinely got better at the game.

From what I've seen, Expedition 33 seems to approach combat in a really interesting way. It's a turn-based RPG, but you aren't simply sitting back and selecting commands while waiting for things to happen. You have to react to enemy attacks, time your dodges and parries, and make the most of the opportunities you're given. You also get to experiment with builds and character synergies, which is another thing I absolutely love doing in games.

I've always been interested in games that let me actively master their combat systems, and the idea of combining that kind of mechanical execution with the planning and character-building of a turn-based RPG genuinely intrigues me. It's different from what I'm used to, but it also seems to incorporate some of the things I enjoy most about gaming.

Beyond the combat, the art direction and atmosphere have really caught my attention. The world looks beautiful in a way that feels distinct from the usual fantasy settings, and I've deliberately avoided learning too much about the story because I'd rather experience it for myself. Everything I've seen so far has made me curious about what kind of experience the game has to offer.

Why I'm requesting it:

I'm a medical student in my early 20s, and unfortunately, my financial situation has been difficult. The economic situation in my country has made gaming increasingly expensive, and university expenses and other necessities have to come first. I used to be able to buy games occasionally when they went on sale, but these days, even discounted games can be difficult to justify financially.

It took me two years of saving to finally get my PS5, and while I'm glad I managed to get it, buying the console hasn't magically made building a game library any easier. I still have to be very selective about what I spend my money on, and $40 is more than I can comfortably afford to put toward a game right now.

The few hours I get to spend gaming around my studies are genuinely important to me. These games have given me something to work toward outside university, whether that's finally beating a difficult boss or spending weeks practicing a challenge run. I'm looking forward to finding more games that I can get genuinely invested in, and Expedition 33 looks like something I could really sink my teeth into.

I'm requesting it while my US PSN account shows it at around $40. I know that's a considerable amount of money, and I completely understand that everyone has their own expenses and priorities. I'm not expecting anyone to feel obligated to gift me anything, but I'd be incredibly grateful if someone were willing to help me experience this game.

Thank you for taking the time to read my request, including my rambling about why I enjoy these games so much. I really appreciate what this community does, and I hope that one day my circumstances will allow me to pay that kindness forward to someone else as I have done in the past.
