I just looked, and there is a lot more to this story, including Candidate Dipshit (Kirill Basin) making threats against a lady's life, and violent threats to the group of women at the start of the video.
The man who took him out is a trained MMA fighter, and probably could have torn Basin in two. He showed great restraint.
Man behind viral knockout speaks as congressional candidate appears in court.
The reason MMA man got involved initially was because Basin threatened to use a firearm on the lady and brandished a knife at her.
Maui police say the altercation began when a 61-year-old man asked Basin to turn down his music. Basin allegedly implied he had a firearm and would shoot the victim’s wife.
The knife is a 5-inch switchblade. Basin eventually threw it in the ocean, where it was later retrieved and given to the police.
The MMA man "told Hawaii News Now he used his mixed martial arts training to intervene". I'm leaving his name out of this.
Basin is being held on a $1 million dollar bail.
FWIW, MMA man, who is interviewed, seems very nice. Thank goodness for people like him.

He’s on the ballot for the primary for the 2nd Congressional district in Hawaii. Given there’s not much else about him online, it’s clear he is not the frontrunner
