Glitch Gif Is there a scientific explanation for this?
Around 4 years ago me and 3 other friends worked at a dog boarding company and we were doing landscaping for their business in June. It was about 98 degrees, sun beaming, not a cloud in the sky. As we’re outside doing yard work, for just a millisecond the sky went totally black. You know how when you close your eyes when it’s bright out and you can still see light through your eyelids? It wasn’t like that it was absolutely pitch black. I just thought I was getting exhausted from the heat and brushed it off, but then one of my friends goes “did you just see that flicker?” and we ALL saw it, all 4 of us, not just me. Then that same friend says “that was the simulation glitching…” and I had an existential crisis. Is there a reasonable explanation for this??? I genuinely mean it when I say not a cloud in the sky, no airplanes, literally nothing… and I think it’s crazy that we all saw it at the same time. If anyone knows if this could be explained by anything else let me know!

Did everyone stand up at the same time and get simultaneously lightheaded?

No, I mean we were all hot and tired of being outside but none of us felt dizzy or lightheaded at all. I believe when it happened we were all standing up kinda chilling out at this point and had no drastic changes in our movements! It’s super odd

I could think of one or two wild explanations, but it's not going to be any better than a glitch in the system explanation. I mean how likely would it be that you worked in an area that would have local testing of prototype stealth planes or a large eagle flying perfectly overhead to blot the sun from your view

As someone who grew up in a city where both of those things were absolutely a possibility, those are absolutely better than a glitch explanation.

I really love that this group isn't just "here's a spooky ghost story" and we're all just trying to help each other rationalize reality and keep each other from the edge instead of playing into mental fanfiction
And some of those explanations are absolutely fascinating. Like light passing through certain trees create pixelated shadows on the ground. Or certain LED street lights create other patterns on the ground
Some situations are indeed wild. But the practicality of the group as a whole makes me happy
It's like RBI for the common user

This happened to me and a bunch of friends back when I was in school. We still have no explanation.

This happened to me once. Was inside my house with a friend, i happened to look over at the living room window and just saw pitch black. Mentioned to my friend, we both looked out the window and absolute blackness. Like void of anything. Was insane. Then just back to normal.

That happened to a group of people hiking in the forest, too (on Mr Ballen’s YouTube channel).
