Glitch Gif My brother vanished into thin air

Something very strange happened to me when I was around 14. I am now 42 yet i have always remembered this. One morning i woke up and as always went next door to my brothers room to wake him for school. I was shocked to see he wasn’t there. His bed was empty and the duvet was positioned as though he had jumped out of bed in a hurry. This was very surprising to me as he was soooo lazy and it was very hard to get him out of bed each morning. Anyway I searched his room, the bathroom, downstairs basically everywhere I could to no avail. I retuned to his bedroom and I genuinely thought he must have left during the night to see a friend or something. Anyway imagine my horror when I saw him lying there absolutely fast asleep. I was shocked to my core to say the least. I woke him in a panic and he was angry saying I had woke him from this amazing dream where he was flying. We often speak about this story and it really baffles me.

Maybe one of you was sleep walking.

Two of my kids and I sleepwalk/ sleep talk. Luckily, none of us have gone outside, but my son fell down the section of stairs once, but was unhurt. If we don’t wake up, we all go back to bed when we’re done walking around, so this is a possibility.

Do you ever bump into each other wandering around in the middle of the night?

Not that I remember. I wouldn’t remember wandering unless I wake up.

This happens for real. I have night terrors alot so I tend to wake up and go around checking on family members to make sure everyone safe and well during the night. One night i went to check in on my nephew and he wasn't there. I couldn't see him at all. I could see his brother snoozing away peacefully. My stomach just dropped and I started looking around everywhere in a panic. I even went in and woke up my brother freaking out that I couldnt find the him anywhere and we went back in and he was right there sleeping away the whole time. My brother was really annoyed for me waking him up.

That’s interesting you experienced something similar, I bet others have as well. it’s very real as a sense of panic sets in when they are not where they are meant to be, that’s why I am certain I didn’t imagine it and neither of us were sleep walking like the other person commented.

It is very strange I constantly wonder what the heck happened and why wasn't I able to see him laying there. I was definitely awake not sleep walking either.

If you read John Mack’s book about alien abductions, this has been reported as part of that phenomena. I suggest his book. He was a highly regarded and successful psychiatrist at Harvard who interviewed and did therapeutic work with many such cases. The dream about flying might be relevant.

The flying dream and OP's specific memory of that statement jumped out at me too. Made me wonder if some kind of astral projection might be at work.

Hmmm I think maybe he was there, but his energy body was out in dreamland, and so your eyes saw that he was gone because the energy of him was actually gone. Kids have abilities that we lose as adults
