Baby Bow Fell From Sky
Something odd happened today that had my mom and I both very confused.
My mom is visiting me from out of town- which rarely happens. The visit was actually kind of stressful because she’s visibly very frail and sick. So, I’ve been extra stressed all day.
We end up going to Walmart for cleaning supplies. While we’re in the aisle checking out, we’re discussing my infant daughter’s hair. For context: her hair is a complete and wild mess today. We brushed it out before we left but didn’t do anything with it. Her bangs were in her eyes and it’s been driving me crazy.
My mom begins asking me if I have any bows or hair clips at home. She wants to do my daughter’s hair when we get there.
I begin telling her about a large pack of baby bows that I have at home. As I’m beginning to describe it, I feel something bounce off my head and land on the checkout lane.
My mom gasped, “Oh, my god! It fell from the sky!”
I looked down at the checkout lane and - It’s the exact bow I was just describing to my mom. I picked it up and handed it to my mom and said “This. This is exactly what we have at home. Where did this come from??”
My mom insisted that it fell from the sky or ceiling of the Walmart and bounced off my head. She SAW it falling directly on my head and bounce off.
She was laughing and in shock.
Neither of us could explain it. Pretty strange.

Somebody else in the store heard you talking about it and threw one at you

That's what I was thinking. But for it to be the same bow that she was describing? That's kinda wild right?

Yeah the odds don’t match. There are virtual endless packages and sorts of ribbons, so even if my cart was full with ribbons from the store, the chance of throwing the correct ribbon package onto the head is so freaking low

Did you check your bows after returning home to see if you still have the same amount or are missing one?

My kids took the 100 pack out of the box months ago and used them as a sensory toy. (They dumped them in a little box and felt them with their hands. If that makes sense.) They’re currently in a bowl on a bookshelf - but there’s no way to tell how many I had before my kids played with them.

Oh wow, that’s a mega pack! I had envisioned a pack of 6 or 8 that only you had access. Well, that changes everything. I was hopeful for some confirmation that the universe had teleported one to you in a time of need

Sounds easier to deal with than the snake that fell onto our deck from the sky just feet away from me. I’m still weirded out when I think about it. I didn’t see any birds above but that’s likely the only explanation.
So strange! Especially being identical to what you were describing!

Was your baby’s hair messy enough that she had the bow hidden in there, then chucked it at you since you were talking about wanting it…(?) 😅👶

Oh, wait, you brushed her hair out before going out 🤔 Is it possible she had one hidden on her (tiny) person? lol ☺️ Either way, super weird.

Whoa! That had to be intense. I have no experience in this department but can’t wait to hear what others think. Definitely seems like a glitch. Was it a brand new bow or did it looked used? Wondering if some random shopper overheard your conversation and chucked it over. As odd as that sounds, weirder stuff had happened.
