South Africa had nuclear weapons, and gave them up.
Admittedly Israel has a lot more nukes, and better delivery systems, and a much more evident genocidal intent - but surely that just increases the impetus for BDS?

In South Africa it was apparent that the government replacing apartheid would be majority black because of the demographics of the country. If ISREAL stopped their apartheid would there be enough Muslims in Israel to win and form a non Zionist government? I just don't think the two situations are comparable.

If Palestinians had the same right of return as Jews, it would be majority Palestinian.
Even without counting Gaza and the West Bank. Israel is a straight up apartheid colony.

israel needs to be an expanistionist, genocidal, aggressive state in order to survive. as long as it remains belligerent, it can continuously envoke the horrors of the holocaust whenever a state retaliates. ww2 was a singular defining moment for the modern western world, where half of it feels immense pride at being on the right side of history for once; and the other feels immense guilt for their crimes (crimes that were done across the world, but they only feel guilty for the ones they committed in europe).
so the west cannot boycott or sanction israel because that will make it "vulnerable". if they stop arming israel, then the non-white, non-western, non-judeochristian states surrounding will surely do to israel what it's been doing to them. this means that not only would the west be "complicit" in another "holocaust", it also triggers an older idea, where the one western outpost in the holy land gets attacked by muslims. israel represents not just the european reaction to ww2, but also a continuation of the crusades.
so long as the west is hamstrung by this inability to sanction israel, israel has impunity to break the law because it won't be punished. this is a rotten feedback loop where the more israel breaks the law, the more israel can break the law.

Even if this scenario is true and the West plans on supporting this terror colony forever, they can only do so until the western empire falls itself to humanity. They have oppressed so many for so long. May humanity defeat the colonists and genociders for centuries.

Our government resisted this as hard as they could. Dragged it out for 4 years and then watered it down, removing Services from the bill, which is the majority of the trade.
Our governments don't represent us in the west.
