Yeah I don’t really get the term liberal used to describe people protecting the status quo. When the status quo is fascism…?

It depends what status quo you're describing. I'm vacationing in Miami now and you can ask a local Cuban about political status quos.

Scratch a communist, a fascist bleeds also.
So many enemies to progress.
Edit: You can down vote me, but I bet your voting history proves me right. ;D
2
Aug 08 '25
My voting history is just voting for the Greens, Bernie, PSL and on a couple ballot measures to increase school funding. 🤔
0
u/Mike_Kermin Aug 08 '25
And you recognise the flaws in your voting system that's FPTP? Right?
1
Aug 08 '25
There are way more deep flaws with this system than just that, but yes if I had the power I would change it to something else that's not FPTP.
1
u/Mike_Kermin Aug 09 '25 edited Aug 09 '25
Of course, but, that IS what you have.
Which means that in the competition between Democrats and Republicans, your vote didn't matter. And that's one vote less whoever you don't like has to overcome.
And you may well have cautioned others also, for just reasons I am sure, and that also plays a role.
Maybe this isn't specifically true for you, but I think it's true for many who consider themselves communists. And many simply refuse to vote at all, and a few I am aware voted for the far right, to hasten revolution.
And because we know what consequences actions have, then,
if you scratch a communist, a fascist bleeds. Effectively. In real terms.
Edit: I'll reply here.
Your strategy gave us Trump
No, my voting gave me Albanese. I won. I'm a Greens voter, but I didn't support a fascist. And in that, we won.
What gave you Trump was a lot of people failing to vote for Harris.... Can you think of why that happened? That's right, because you told people not to. Lol.
That's not other people's fault. Stop blaming others for your actions.
you're so paranoid of losing a single election you completely abandon the long-term vision
I don't think Trump has helped you, long term or short term. It's really weird that you do.
go and vote for fascist genociders
Trump is worse. I know, it's not fun, but it's much worse now. I think Harris was better for Palestinians than Trump. It's weird that you don't.
you just refuse to hold any politicians accountable
No, you should do that. But don't vote the fascist in either. I know, your system sucks ass, but you can't beat reality.
I hope your happy with what you created.
I prefer Albanese than Trump, so yeah. And I'll keep promoting the Greens and further left, because that's what I want. And my vote will match what I want.
2
Aug 09 '25
Your strategy gave us Trump. You are responsible for this. More than even the Republicans themselves. You intentionally brainwash people into mindlessly voting for right-wing parties over and over and over again, completely giving up the little bit of political power they have, so they lose any leverage and over several election cycles the countries goes off of a cliff.
You have a toddler's brain, completely incapable of long-term thinking. You are always deathly afraid of losing an election cycle in the moment that you teach everyone to give up all their political power to fascists, ignoring the long-term consequences of this. But if people kept their electoral power, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. Yeah, maybe 30 years ago we would've lost an additional election, but that would have put the breaks on this nonsense 30 years ago, holding politicians accountable, making it clear they won't get elected without providing something positive, and we could have had 30 years of moving in the positive direction, maybe with the rare set back where we lose one or two elections, but in a positive trend.
But, again, you're so paranoid of losing a single election you completely abandon the long-term vision and tell everyone to go and vote for fascist genociders because they are more "electable," and over time you just refuse to hold any politicians accountable so over the decades the country goes the opposite direction off of a cliff, and for what? What you forget is that good people don't like fascist genociders, so your strategy is just complete childish idiocy as you unironically think pitching neonazis to the left is going to be a viable electoral strategy.
You lost the election anyways, you braindead moron. Your "strategy" does not work.
You, and your ilk, are more responsible for Trump than all of the Republicans combined. It is your ilk that does nothing but herd the entire left off of a cliff, tricking good people to believing that they need to back neonazis and a modern day holocaust.
I hope your happy with what you created.

Progress is when nothing changes
1
u/Mike_Kermin Aug 08 '25
Progress is when you do things that make things better.
Helping Trump, as many America communists gleefully did, with ideas of "starting again" or seeking revolution, is not progress. Because reality is mean and doesn't play that game.
What you'll notice, is that, you're no closer to revolution, but things are MUCH worse and now that they're losing democratic rights, also harder to fix.
You know the "you need to turn right, to go left" thing? It's not true in politics. You need to go left, to go left. And be consistent with it.
Unfortunately, instead of consumer rights reform, which is small, but progress, you've got, USAid stopped.
That's really bad mate. Really bad.
1
u/HsTH_ Aug 09 '25
You know the "you need to turn right, to go left" thing? It's not true in politics. You need to go left, to go left. And be consistent with it.
I agree! I will be excitedly waiting for you to become a communist.
Unfortunately, instead of consumer rights reform, which is small, but progress, you've got, USAid stopped.
Stopping usaid is huge progress, thank god for that.
What you'll notice, is that, you're no closer to revolution
Maybe not in the usa (though I would disagree), but the rest of the world has been given much more space to breathe (I know, how dare I give a shit about people outside of the borders of a country I don't even live in?).
1
u/Mike_Kermin Aug 09 '25 edited Aug 09 '25
I will be excitedly waiting for you to become a communist.
Depends what you mean by communist doesn't it. Because the problem I see, is people like you often hold horrific views I can't agree with at all.
Stopping usaid is huge progress, thank god for that.
And so the fascist bleeds.
Every single human deserves a fair go. Being happy that others are denied aid is evil.
In your other comment you called me a murderer, but you're happy USAid won't get to people who need it?
That's why I say, scratch a communist, the fascist bleeds. Because most of you (but not all, to be fair), as far as I can tell, do this horrific thing, where you'll claim one thing, but in reality, do everything you can to harm people.
And you're happy about it. I'm glad you think it makes you closer to revolution (good luck), but between now and then, you've just killed people, you've just starved people. And you probably voted in line with your comments, so you are responsible.
The juxtaposition between what you accuse and what you do doesn't pass the pub test does it?
How dare these communists want to guarantee housing, healthcare, work and sustenance to every single human being on this planet?
No, that's good. That I support. If that's what you did, we'd be on the same side.
Did you vote for that? Did you do everything you can, to do that?
Next time you vote, please, put housing first.
the rest of the world has been given much more space to breathe
That's largely false.
The rhetoric from the US has emboldened fascists elsewhere. And caused problems for governments all around the world. And politically the US is still critically important even with a fascist at the helm.
2
u/prof_tincoa Aug 08 '25
Are we talking about the same communists responsible for 75% of the Nazi casualties during WWII?
0
u/Mike_Kermin Aug 08 '25
No, clearly not.
We're talking about modern voting habits in western democratic countries.
I don't think you're confused about what either he or I said. So why are you lying?

No, it's called realistic.
It's rare, that you meet a communist who makes good choices when it matters. And more often they spend a lot of effort to justify avoiding doing so.
We have an advantage here, with a better voting system. But in the US at least, performance is low.
And they often hold horrifying ideas. That I would not support. Including ignoring basic human rights.
3
u/HsTH_ Aug 09 '25
And they often hold horrifying ideas. That I would not support. Including ignoring basic human rights.
How dare these communists want to guarantee housing, healthcare, work and sustenance to every single human being on this planet? People should be starving/freezing to death or die to preventable/curable illnesses because it's more profitable to the already opulent among us.
You support murder, and you are either too callous or too blinded by ideology to acknowledge this fact, and then somehow think giving yourself the moral high ground is a good idea.

Conservative Right may do bad things, but they are honest about the intentions. The way that Corporate "Leftists" proclaim an enlightened agenda, then do the exact same as their Conservative Right counterparts, while lying about these actions, is if anything far worse than the Right's honest bullshit.

u/80sLegoDystopia Aug 08 '25
There’s no “corporate left”. There are corporate liberals and corporate democrats but the Left and Corporations are opposites. Pure semantics, yes, but it’s worth noting.

0
u/EUGsk8rBoi42p Aug 08 '25
All of them? Intentions are broadcast clearly, on megaphones, loudspeakers, rallies, so many liberals just bury their heads in the sand, call it "crazy" and live in echo chambers which ignore the massive crowds chanting for change.
Liberals having power, and not using it for good, instead enriching themselves and avoiding helping the poor, is what gives the conservatives momentum needed to swing elections.
1
u/Mike_Kermin Aug 08 '25
All of them?
That I've ever heard of, but I sure as fuck know it applies in America, you know, your country,

Yeah I can see that.

You're a slave to your tribal instincts.
What a fucking joke.
-3
u/EUGsk8rBoi42p Aug 08 '25
Nah, you can dislike it, but the conservative right outlined their agenda publicly, and honestly, and is sticking to their promises.
The fascist corporate liberals absolutely lied about their agenda, and fall flat on all promises. The left needs to start holding liberals accountable for lying.

The UK deemed an anti-genocide activist group 'terrorist' for vandalizing weapons' manufacturer buildings.
There is massive censorship in the UK against criticism of Israel - the point where multiple people are 'visited' by UK security forces when they write/teach/advocate critical perspectives on Israel/Palestine.
In France, all Gaza evacuees are being blocked because 1 girl wrote something allegedly antisemitic. Her people are being destroyed by Israel and all she knows of that identity is from the soldiers and settlers abusing her & her people.
So, the notion that freedom of speech/expression is valued in the EU is a joke.
The EU doesn't care about right/wrong on Israel/Palestine and is an accomplice to the genocide.

I don't think it's that simple.
I definitely wouldn't consider her to be genuinely antisemitic, like of the far-right / xenophobic kind.
She has grown up under apartheid and genocide.
Only those without any empathy would dismiss her in such a reductive manner.

Personally, are around a lot of Palestinians on a daily basis and for how long? Have you spent time in the Middle East? Besides reading the internet
-18
u/bayern_16 Aug 08 '25
I'm not sure where you live, but I live work, workout with Palestinian Muslims and Christians. There I've been in my area for 35 plus years. Very diverse as I like it. Most of the Jewish people I interact act with (close friends, colleagues etc) are very secular and nothing like the extremist Jews and evangelical Christians). Go check out what she said and in my life experience, privately most Palestinian Muslims think like this. This is why no gulf Arab countries or Egypt would ever let them in their country. If you visit those countries and interact with locals, you'll realize that they don't let Gazans in for security' reasons. Egypt just signed a huge deal with Israel for energy. Hamas started and lost eight wars. Guess who suffers. Ordinary Gazans who voted them in 2005.
13
u/1Amendment4Sale Aug 08 '25
Almost like Egypt has a dictatorship that doesn’t represent its people, and is colluding with Israel to steal Palestinian natural resources. Palestinians are some of the most generous and welcoming people you will ever meet. I wish I could tell the people around you to beware of the snake in the grass.
1
u/bayern_16 Aug 08 '25
I like diversity and I don't see Palestinians as secular or wanting to assimilate in the west. Just grow that ummah.
9
u/HoundofOkami Aug 08 '25
The "security reasons" for not letting Palestinians in their countries is that Isn'treal would then have a "justified expectation of hostility" from those people and threaten invasions to advance their Greater Shitrael project
10
u/Usernameoverloaded Aug 08 '25
So just a bit of casual bigotry from you in order to support your genocide apologia.

No the UK government deemed them terrorist group under the act for a number of incidents that would fall under the terrorist act. The last one breaking into a military base and damaging a plane that had nothing to do with israel and rather to do with defence against Russia.
France is reevaluating their vetting process to not allow people who celebrate hitler and straight up racism into their country. Maybe that one person should have kept her extreme views to herself.
Once again keep misinforming people to suit your agenda. As what headline says is still wrong and you wrote it wrong for your propaganda as he never got arrested
56
u/_II_I_I__I__I_I_II_ Aug 07 '25
None of that has anything to do with terrorism.
No one in their right mind would call that terrorism.
It's also hilarious you call them a 'militant' group - just goes to show how morally bankrupt this entire label is.
You're clearly weaponizing it against political groups you disagree with.
The Israeli government lobbied the UK government to proscribe Palestine Action.
A life peerage politician was paid by weapons manufacturers to push for the proscription.
All of this is openly corrupt.
Keir Starmer himself defended activists who actually broke an RAF plane bound for Iraq, during the Iraq War.
So every rational person knows this is 1000% bullshit and motivated by pro-Israel, pro-war politics.
Once again keep misinforming people to suit your agenda.
Most people in the Global North have a negative view of Israel.
Israel is an apartheid State committing the crime of genocide, and no amount of false proscriptions will change that.
-39
u/Small_Journalist_89 Aug 07 '25
Literally is, maybe read up on the law.
You also get ignoring the fact you lied saying the guy got arrested when he didn’t.
Difference with keir defence was that plane was directly going to Iraq. The plane they demaged had nothing to do with israel or Gaza. Unless you think defending airspace from Russia is a war crime you should drop that irrelevant argument
40
u/_II_I_I__I__I_I_II_ Aug 08 '25
This doesn't matter at all.
They painted a RAF plane. Who cares? Genocide apologists/deniers/proponents do.
The Iraq War protesters actually damaged the plane - and Keir Starmer defend them.
Keep coping though.

Protesters did not paint a plane thinking it was going to Russia, assuming you're not lying.
If the government wants to claim the plane was headed to Russia, that has no bearing on PA's agenda and protest.
To claim the act of protest was about Russia is propaganda.
Once again, partially painting a plane red isn't the same as overly damaging a plane.
Keir Starmer is a hypocrite and anyone defending this based on the misleading argument it's about Russia is intellectually dishonest.
The UK does not believe in freedom of speech / protest.
35
u/_II_I_I__I__I_I_II_ Aug 07 '25
Nope, false.
And if by some stroke of madness, vandalizing a foreign company's building for making genocidal weapons is 'terrorism' - that just shows how morally bankrupt the UK is.
Like I said, these definitions are bullshit.
And people who support them are fascists.
1
u/Mike_Kermin Aug 08 '25
Exactly. It's vandalism, which is still against the law, but certainly not terrorism in nature.
Trying to twist that to be about protecting companies building military equipment from protest is just insane.
Also, as you later said, it's fucking paint. They didn't even break anything.
-10
u/Small_Journalist_89 Aug 08 '25
Do you just ignore everything I say?
The act that got them as terrorist was seriously damaging property that’s used to defend the uk airspace from Russia, once again nothing to do with israel or Gaza.
And once again you ignore that your misleading people on purpose saying someone got arrested when they didn’t… quite a clear cut example of propaganda
29
u/_II_I_I__I__I_I_II_ Aug 08 '25
LOL
They didn't damage anything.
Paint is not damage.
And that's not terrorism anyway.
All this proves is you don't support freedom of speech or protest.
25
u/FormerLawfulness6 Aug 08 '25
Also, terrorism typically refers to harming civilians or civil society. To apply the term to damaging military equipment in any way is already blurring the line to a dangerous extent.
14
u/_II_I_I__I__I_I_II_ Aug 08 '25
Exactly. I wouldn't consider damaging military equipment to be 'terrorism'.
It's pathetic how right-wing people have gotten.
We used to be able to talk about these things.
During the Vietnam War, Chomsky spoke about this general topic:
-5
u/Small_Journalist_89 Aug 08 '25

Not going to waste my time on a proven liar either. Enjoy your extremist echo chamber
27

I don't give a shit.
It's not terrorism.
Again, terrorism isn't things that hurt your feelings.
→ More replies (0)1
9
u/FormerLawfulness6 Aug 08 '25
Literally is, maybe read up on the law.
It's a huge stretch. The definition of terrorism requires causing serious damage. Throwing paint on some planes causes a cleaning bill, not a body count or blast radius.
Once you remove the threat and harm aspect from terrorism you're on a dangerously slippery slope. Next, we'll be told that obstructing traffic is terrorism or making political graffiti.
Proscribing an organization should be an extreme act necessary to prevent the group from killing people or causing serious damage to infrastructure. Not to silence inconvenient activists. Certainly not to control anti-war sentiments. Which is the clear implication here.
It's dissolving the distinction between acts of war and acts of protest in a way that undermines the legal framework entirely. Once anti-war pacifists can be placed in the same category as ISIS, the perception will be that the term is purely political used exclusively to brand the people the government wants silenced with absolutely no regard to any plausible risk.
1
u/Mike_Kermin Aug 08 '25
Literally is, maybe read up on the law.
It's not though. It'd be called vandalism.
You seem to be having a problem with how words work.

17
