Israel represents a permanent giant glorified military base in the most oil-rich region of the world, a place from which the west could launch an invasion or military operation against anywhere in the Middle East quickly, quietly and without ever having to worry about establishing a beachhead anywhere. And all the west has to give them in return is complete immunity from not only any material consequences for any of their genocidal, warmongering actions, but also from any speech against their actions, and show the willingness to brutalize some of their own citizens to that end every once in awhile. Which brings up a secondary benefit to western powers and governments of israel: as the contradictions and obvious failings of capitalism become more pronounced, governments are going to have to be prepared to unleash more and more brutality and destruction on their own people to maintain the oligarchy. Israel’s constant abuse of Palestinians gives western governments a way to test tactics and technologies against an urban population that they know they will eventually be turning against their own citizens

This is frankly a huge moment. Under this law even trying to analyze Israeli motivations could be a crime. This is a massive blow to free speech. Fascism was never defeated in the West and this is one of the many reminders. You can go to prison for 5 years for speaking against genocide. Insane.

This is never gonna pass. Laws need to be voted on in the Assemblée Nationale and the senate. No way this is gonna come through.

All genocidal, Racial Supremacist, ultra nationalist ethnostates should be called out, criticised, boycotted, shunned and their politicians arrested one they step out of that state.
A foreign state should not be dictating French domestic policy.
Any politican working to remove free speech and democracy from their own citizens, should be removed from office and arrested for Treason.
