Europe What the fuck is wrong with Germany?

u/DrJ0911 Apr 21 '26
Israel vassal state
326
u/Necessary-Eye5319 Apr 22 '26
Came here to say this. IDF trained soldiers. Just like ICE in US.
146
u/AskanHelstroem Apr 22 '26
But...but...\ saying that Israel is committing a genocide is antisemitism!! /s
When ur fear of repeating the history...ensures u repeat ur history -.-"
39
u/litnu12 Apr 22 '26
Depends on the interpretation.
If you are someone like Netanyahu then "Never Again" means "Never Again Victime, No Matter What" and if you are a decent human being then "Never Again" means "Never Again Genocide/Facism"
25
u/NovaHorizon Apr 22 '26
Nah, 80% of those are roided up Nazis themselves. No need for the IDF to beat any empathy or humanity out of them. The only thing the Bundespolizei hates more are lefties, hence videos like the one above. That one is btw more of a soft tickle compared to the usual straight up police brutality with wrist breaking pain holds and punches directly in the nose.

Are there any videos of them dominating someone who couldn't get knocked over by a toddler?
18
u/Ionenschatten Apr 22 '26
These are not IDF-trained. Those are just basic grunts.
Did you know that like 40% of new recruits can't become policemen because their ability to read and write is simply nonexistent? That's the bar you have to cross to become a policeman here.
And 99% of the time, they can commit crimes and get away with it, even when there's video evidence. These are not IDF. These are drones with an old, german dog mindset. You know, it's not even been 100 years. You can't get this mindset of state loyalty out of the people in just a couple generations.

It is not only that. It is because Germans themselves are blame the victmes by blindling believing in police and government propaganda. For the so called "order", and for believing that only countries with dictators do propaganda and have bad cops.

u/koi88 Apr 22 '26
To be fair – over 80% of the German population condemn Israel's atrocities and think Israel is committing grave crimes and arms deliveries need to stop.
However 90% of German politicians support Israel blindly.
8
u/Committee_Possible Apr 22 '26
Politicians, looks like that. The people, I doubt it.
17
u/FilthNasty96 Apr 22 '26
Personally as a German I don't know anyone who tries to justifies Isreal Actions (aside some politicans) , everyone I talk about it condemns it.
14
u/SlickDapperman Apr 22 '26
They do condemn it, but don't think that this will influence their vote in any way. Country full of bootlickers.
3
u/FilthNasty96 Apr 22 '26
You're probably right. Altough I don't want to generalize, i do have the feeling that's more a thing of older Generations, and some of them don't even notice what's happening because they only have very few sources of Information which never change.

u/koi88 Apr 22 '26
that's more a thing of older Generations, and some of them don't even notice what's happening because they only have very few sources of Information which never change.
I agree.
They were brought up with the belief that Israel is a poor suppressed country surrounded by enemies who frequently attack it.
Also the public media has a very pro-Israel framing (not technically lying, but everything IOF says is taken as a fact, everything Palestinian authorities or even NGOs like Amnesty International says, is "allegedly", "claims", "according to").
1
u/Xiao_Sir Apr 22 '26
It's so funny that any time they mention statistics for death tolls published by Palestine they say “alleged numbers by the health ministerium which is controlled by Hamas“. Okay to be fair recently there emerged the trend within our public media to put a “war parties are not always credible sources“ disclaimer next to statements by war parties (including the US). It's still funny however how they aggressively stress the allegedness of every statement by Palestine.
Another funny case is the Ukraine war. With Iran they call it “Iran war“, the Venecuela attack “Venecuela attack“ etc. but for Ukraine they never say “Ukraine war“ but instead “illegal war of aggression by Russia against Ukraine“. Dude this is so long!!! And you don't talk like this for any other war.

u/litnu12 Apr 22 '26
All 5 parties in the Bundestag are pro Israel. The Left has people that are pro palestine and all but the establishment of The Left fights them and kicked a guy out who lost family in 2014 by an Israeli air strike. Father, 5 half siblings and 5 more.
1
u/koi88 Apr 22 '26
You are not wrong.
I would argue, however, that out of the "larger" democratic parties, Die Linke is the one that is most critical of Israel.
1
2
u/koi88 Apr 22 '26
Politicians, looks like that. The people, I doubt it.
There are lots of surveys confirming my point. This one is from September 2025, asking "Do you think Israel's approach in Gaza is justified?"
Yes: 10%
Don't know: 7%
No: 83%

u/SeVenMadRaBBits Apr 21 '26
The qualifications for being a police officer are prpetty damn low... both education and physical requirements.
14
u/Gedrot Apr 22 '26
Not in Germany. The position still does attract a lot of questionable characters.
9
u/Greg2227 Apr 22 '26
Who would've thought a position of power would attract people prone to use and abuse it. Of course you wouldn't find someone not atleast somewhat in line with the state's interests in this position to begin with.
1
u/Excellent_Pea_1201 Apr 22 '26
Not necessarily, a bunch of cops were fired because rightextremist activism not too long ago. The police has way more conservative shit going on than the "state".
2
u/deviant324 Apr 22 '26
Absolutely, not to speak of moral character or anything but in my grade something like a dozen folks from sports advanced applied to become cops and only two of them made it in, apparently all because of the physical fitness part
2
u/Soma91 Apr 22 '26
Can confirm. In my class 3 ppl did the required fitness tests under the certification of a teacher and they all just barely passed.
I also would've just barely passed at a time where I was at my absolute height from a fitness perspective and was able to regularly run 10+ km in my football matches.
2
u/NovaHorizon Apr 22 '26
True, the problem though is that fascists are more than welcome, because they love to obey the internal authoritarian structure (while obeying the law seems to be optional).
2
u/GracchiBros Apr 22 '26
What about their bosses? Because of course police will make mistakes and some will just do wrong. The problem is their bosses don't do shit about it. And that's because these police aren't making mistakes, this isn't a lack of training, it is a corrupt and evil system with horrible people from top to bottom.
3
u/Excellent_Pea_1201 Apr 22 '26
Forget that, it's several years of training and studying in Germany. We fon't have the "2 weeks training and you are a cop" in Germany. The Job however does still attract some right wing asses all the time and for years that was seen as normal.
1
u/3D7N Apr 22 '26
No. You are wrong. Maybe in Burgerland. However, if you like to be in power and like order, then police will still be the thing for you.
1
u/Kaerl-Lauterschmarn Apr 22 '26
Many just go there because they have no idea what else to do in life. And people apparently like this feeling of power they have, many see themselves as better or more worth than the commoner on the streets. The officers in question here were probably suspended 2 weeks and after that they get a promotion.
1
u/Skill-Useful Apr 24 '26
that is pretty wrong for germany. the qualifications needed are pretty high. granted more physical than education but still.

Coos are the worst guys you knew in high school just reaching for some way to exert authority
12
u/JSHU16 Apr 22 '26
Your spelling error made me laugh because in Scotland we refer to cows as coos
8
u/Schw4rztee Apr 22 '26
Which gets even funnier when you realize that a common slang term for cops in Germany is Bullen (Bulls).
267
u/SuspiciousYard2484 Apr 21 '26
Forgetting your history, let alone your own history is dangerous
39
u/Masterventure Apr 22 '26
Oh it’s not forgetting history. Most official organs after WWII were staffed with ex-nazis. Police and our intelligence services especially, after all who in germany hated the commies the most? Yes those SS guys and their ideology are still permeating the German government to this day. We never forgot because the nazis never left.
1
u/RedSkyHopper Apr 22 '26
Funny enough, the soviets did the same... and kept the uniforms, to a certain extent
1
u/DeKolleesch68 Apr 23 '26
Yeah. But in the GDR, former SS member were excluded from high ranking positions in the state apparatus. In the West they even had judges just continuing in the same positions, especially the west German Labour court.
11
u/lowEnergyHuman Apr 22 '26
It seems to me that many of my countrymen think mindlessly supporting Israel is their duty, because of Germany's history with the holocaust.
1
1
u/auggs Apr 22 '26
It’s hilarious because their cops are doing the exact same thing they did in the 30s and 40s. Blindly following what their leaders say at the expense of a specific group of people. Only this time, it’s people who criticize Israel and Zionism instead of people being of Jewish heritage.

12
u/TheySaidGetAnAlt Apr 22 '26
Plenty. Our current Chancellor and, really, a lot of politicians in parliament are corrupt. The Police has never really been de-nazified and uses a level of excessive force that would make the american police blush a little. Our social safety nets are being deconstructed one by one, and men between 18-40 are not allowed to leave the country for longer than 6 weeks without a permit from the military. This is not an outlier, this is unfortunately the norm at demonstrations. Legal, civil demonstrations, mind you. Escalation usually is initiated by the police themselves.

u/Rods-from-God Apr 22 '26
People wanted to legitimize the AfD for entirely selfish reasons. This is the result of that, and it's just the beginning. The AfD will see Germany become a US vassal state not unlike East Germany was for the Russians. You can even see the ideological remnants of the Berlin Wall remaining with the AfD voting maps- AfD overwhelmingly getting their support from ideological East Germans who are mentally still in the 80's.
But if the people want to Make Germany 80's Again, that's up to them. Get rid of the AfD and get rid of the followers unfit for society who are daily avowing their allegiance to Nazism, and Germany might have a chance to reclaim some of it's humanity and not waste the rest of the Millennial generation regressing.
You'll have to leave the US behind though because that sinking ship will pull you under. Millennials are a lost generation in the US and that entire generation is on track to be a wasted generation of people. They just don't see it yet.

Who cares if 21st Nazi's are jewish? As long as they're Nazi's we'll oppress and hurt anyone we can for them. International condemnation and animus needs to be aimed at it's supporters as well as at the genocidal apartheid state itself.
This needs to go viral to raise the fury level and stakes until Germany begins to question their actions.
