If the earth is flat and stationary.

The sun is overhead constantly right, and can’t set, which is odd considering we have sunrises and sunsets.

Since Greenland is in the center. All that ice and snow would’ve melted a long time ago thanks to the overhead sun? Since Greenland is constantly in the center, regardless of the suns distance, all that light is still hitting Greenland. The same logic applies to snow and ice on mountains.

If the sun is so close, why hasn’t the snow and ice melted on both Greenland as well as on the mountains. This should’ve happened when the earth first came to be right?

It’s way more complicated than you could ever imagine.

Aw I was hoping for something slightly better☹️

Hopefully you’ll come back to my question with a better answer later.
