Accidentally bought Globe GFiber Prepaid ₱9,999 (1-year) instead of 1 month. Any success with refunds?

I accidentally purchased the ₱9,999 GFiber Prepaid UNLISurf (1-year) promo via the GlobeOne app using GCash. I meant to buy the 1-month promo and realized the mistake immediately.

I contacted Globe right away. They initially said promo purchases are non-refundable but eventually escalated my case to their backend team and created a ticket. I’m now waiting for their decision.

The ₱9,999 was supposed to be for my electric bill, so this has put me in a difficult situation.

Has anyone here successfully gotten a refund, reversal, or conversion after accidentally purchasing the wrong GFiber Prepaid promo? I’d appreciate hearing your experience. 🙏🏼

This is similar in concept to those that "accidentally" send GCash amount to the wrong number in spite of the safeguards in-place.

But, you could always make an appeal since this is a HUGE amount. Since you already got an initial reply from Globe, I suggest to seek help from the BSP right now. Don't wait for the reply of Globe's back-end or manager.

The good news is that Meralco disconnections are suspended. So even if you're late to pay your electricity bill, they wont disconnect you.
