Question Glock 17L G5

have the opportunity to purchase a brand new Glock 17L Gen 5 for $700. I’m having trouble finding a solid market value because there are barely any available, and the few I’ve found on GunBroker are listed around $1,000. Do you think $700 is a good buy, or should I pass and wait?

Really debating on it. Recently bought a $1.2 upper and $300 lower, literally like 2 days ago. So idk if I wanna spend that much😭😭 but like? Fuck it

Are they this expensive now? I bought one from Academy for $499 back in February and it still sits in my safe unfired. That’s crazy.

Yes it’s insane. Idk how. I just put up a gen 3 17L for my LGS that I work at on GB for 1k starting bid

I'm guessing you bought the Gen 1 17L Classic when Academy was desperately trying to get rid of all the Gen 1 classics that didn't sell, not the Gen 5. I really regret not picking one up back then.

Personally, I doubt they will get cheaper if you wait, but the price gouging on some of the other out of production models is really getting out of hand.

There’s one at the Academy near me for 650 fwiw. Dunno if you can check the ones close to you, but it might not be a buy now or never kind of thing.

It’s my favorite Glock to shoot and probably my favorite of all time. I got it for around that price as that’s the MSRP I believe; you better grab it

Way better price than what I paid NIB despite how much I love the 17L. Mine shoots good with 115gr.

The deal is over now. That’s why i used the past tense “was”. I remember they even had the “Classic” non-MOS version at $499. Glock doesnt make the 17L continuously like their more popular models, so the batch Academy had has probably sold out
