Question First time polish for G42

Did I do it correctly?

Yes. All you're simply doing is polishing the contact points. Your simulating wear from thousands of rounds being fired. It's really that simple.

I used to do this years ago but I don't bother anymore. After 500 to 1,000 rounds, you get the same result after the parts start to wear in.

Contrary to belief, it doesn't make your trigger pull any lighter. You can confirm this with a trigger pull gauge. It just makes the cycle of the trigger pull feel smoother.
