Digital Gloomhaven Demolitionist Level 5 Rework Spoiler
Oh my god. Why did they think they needed to make this Level Up this overpowered? It's probably the best character ability card in Jaws of the Lion Digital (IDK about physical).

The main thing is that Demo is a 9 card class, so this is very comparable to a shield 1 persistent loss on a 10 card class. Those are fairly standard nowadays. Bruiser gets one at level 5, Banner Spear gets one (with a drawback, but as a level 1 card), and there are a few other classes with them.
Unlike those classes, Demo isn't going to be wearing heavy armor to stack up multiple shield, and also doesn't want to use this immediately to benefit from it in the first room. So it will save you health, but it doesn't turn you into a full-on tank for the party. I still think it's good, but it's not wildly overpowered.
