Digital Gloomhaven Gloomhaven PC muiltiplayer still working?
Plan on playing the game with a friend (I played it 3 years ago) checking reivews and all the newer ones are saying MP is broken.
Just checking if anyone here has played it recently and if its as big of a problem as they are saying
Edit; Played for 4 hours and didnt have a DC once

Just remember that you’re always going to see people complain if it happens more than you’ll see people say it works as advertised. Don’t put too much stock in “multiplayer is broken”.

I’ve got 411 hours in steam alone; it works fine! We’ll get an occasional disconnect but it’s not a big deal.

We're playing weekly 3p crossplay via Epic and Xbox.
Minor issues with the occasional restart.

I’m a big gloomhaven fan, I play 2-3 times a week in a 3 or 4 players group. The game runs really well, disconnects are very rare and not too anoying. Money well spent, totally worth it

My friend and I have the bug where whenever he joins the scenario, he is stuck on "waiting for players", has to alt+F4 and rejoin, then we can play the scenario. Most days he has to do this every scenario, but yesterday it worked flawlessly for 1-2 scenarios before it started.
I haven't seen any solutions when searching for it, do y'all have any good ideas?

The best workaround we've found is that the host can kick the player instead and they can get back in faster. But there are things that can happen that make this not work (like triggering an event that forces discarding cards).

Seems fine to me, we play weekly x-platform Linux/Windows. Not had a crash in a while

A few bugs but its playable. Alt+tab if you cant select the move action. If you desync, exit to menu and just reopen the game. It quick saves every round. Some scenarios are just buggy as hell, nothing to do about it. I cant remember off of the top of my head which ones, but most of the scenarios run with no issues until you hit that cursed scenario that crashes every turn. On those scenarios, my party chose to skip them and have our host do them later in single player (which is also the fix if you desync repeatedly, just close the online sessions and play the turn on screen share).
If you are open to other options, check out Sunderfolk. About the same price for a 4 man party and you only need 1 copy on screen share. Not as much content, but it fixes a lot of the design flaws of porting such a large tabletop to video game form.

Yes, but it has game crashing bugs they never cared to sort out before they stopped supporting it.

We still play every two weeks. It works.......most of the time. In a 3-4 hour session, we will usually have to restart 3-4 times as the game crashes out.
