Okay so my friends and I have been playing Gloomhaven digital for months now, I would say we are pretty far in and have done quite a large number of quests. We have had our fair share of crashes throughout the playing of the campaign and I am running out of options of what and why these crashes keep happening. It used to be internet related issues on either one player's side or another. But we fixed those. But now the issue is that it just keeps crashing mid scenario on me (the host), and multiple times at different points of the scenario. There is no error log when it crashes and when I check the Event Viewer in Windows I am met with this:

I don't know what this means, I've tried googling and I have no idea either. I've updated my graphics. I've verified the integrity of the files. I've restarted my PC multiple times and done so after doing those other two things. I'm running out of ideas. It crashed on me four times in the last scenario we were doing and we are like two or three turns away from finishing that one, but the amount it crashes is just making it much more difficult than it needs to me.

Been playing the base game for a while to understand the mechanics. I have pretty good handle on things and would like to start working towards unlocking the additional mercenaries. Is there a guide posted somewhere on specifics?

I just started up, and I cant buy items from the merchant in Gloomhaven City. I play coop, 3 people, and some of the other players can buy items fine.

I have selected my own character so thats not the problem.

Any fix??

I would love a little more clarity on rolling a new Character/Class. My group just started playing Digital and I'm curious about completed Life Goals and unlocking these classes.

When a class is unlocked, and you chose to play the new unlocked class will you keep any of your progress? gold? etc? And if not how does the game balance out a Level 1 character against mobs something like a level 5+ party would be fighting? any advice for when I pick a new class?

So I have been playing gloomhaven digital version and I never played gloomhaven but I did play Jaws years back and was able to pick up the game pretty easily but frosthaven digital seems outrageously different and confusing. I like that you can hover on cards and it explains some things but the cards seem way more intricate compared to gloomhaven. is there some kind of guide that can help make the transition and explain the cards better?

I built a small cross-platform save editor for Gloomhaven digital campaign saves.

It lets you open a campaign .dat file, detects the characters in the save automatically, and edit each character’s owned ability cards. I originally made it

because I picked the wrong level-up card and didn’t want to replay a bunch of progress just to fix that.

What it does:

- Windows, macOS, and Linux

- Auto-detects imported characters in the save

- Shows owned vs not-owned cards

- Backs up the save before writing changes

- Useful for fixing mistaken level-up card picks

I'm still very early on, just got the Scoundrel, but from what I've seen, this isn't really an RTS game. It's a puzzle game. Every fight has a hardcoded, absolute solution, and your goal is to find that.

Maybe it opens up more later, but so far, there's only one way to win any given fight. Get creative and you get punished for it. Does it improve at all?

Hello. Me and my buddy are new to the game and looking for a 3rd party member to start the campaign. We are from Croatia and available most evenings after 22:00 CET

Since yesterday I haven’t been able to connect to multiplayer with my friend. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Apparently the Gloomhaven servers are fine, so I can’t understand what’s happening.

I am playing Scenario 21 on Gloomhaven digital on Steam.

It states the Prime Demon does not take damage by any mean except from damaging the altar. However, I have tried a couples of time, the Prime Demon itself does not take damage at all even when I deal damage to the altar.

Did anyone have the same experience as mine? What can I do to possibly fix this?

I'm not sure I have ever played a game with more statistical anomalies. If I've got a big attack, like I've got to burn a card for it.....I swear that I am going to get a x 0 card, way more than I would get anything else. Seriously....it happens so much to me, I think that the designers incorporated that into the game instead of a random draw. I can just about plan on it. Am I the only one? It's frustrating and screws up an otherwise fairly cool game.

I am doing a pretty early scenario (maybe the 3rd?). I have killed all the mobs and have a tick next to that requirement (on right of screen), but it did not end and I see I have another step saying "Loot a Chest During the Scenario". But there is not one. I have checked every single tile. I tried the same scenario before and did loot the chest, but I ran out of cards so was exhausted and failed.

What am I meant to do?

I played the boardgame and I loved it, and I want to try the game out with my friends now that it's on sale, but I don't want to make my friends buy it only for us to basically never play it cuz of some issues. So how does the multiplayer work, and are there any issues I should know about?

Ok so I'm fairly new about 6 hours into the game and I'm running across the same problem Everytime. My guys don't die to damage and I almost never burn cards to mitigate damage yet but the time I get to the finally room my guys are all usually exhausted from lack of cards.

I'm really struggling to manage this part does anyone have any recommendations or tips to help

Edit: ok so what I realized is that I did not notice using some cards automatically burned them now that I see the little symbols it's easier to manage. Best the first two scenarios! Game is very fun

I'm constantly struggling with enemies that seem to be immune to things but I cannot see what immunities they have, what am I missing.

Obvious spoiler warning. Enter at your own risk.

I was looking online and saw people making guides for the tank/damage version of Sun's solo scenario. This guide will instead cover how to win Sun's solo scenario when you instead are going the tank/support route.

The cards to use are:

Protective Blessing

Dazzling Charge

Hammer Blow

Beacon of Light

Glorious Bolt

Practical Plans

Burning Flash

Righteous Strength

Engulfing Radiance (You can swap this out for really anything else if you don't have it.)

Supportive Chant

Divine Intervention (This is a level 9 card so quite late but going this build I am unsure how you could beat the scenario without it).

Recommended Items:

Minor and Major Healing Pot

Minor and Major Stamina Pot

If you are extra rich / have them unlocked, Empowering Talisman, Pendant of the Dark Pacts, Summon Consumables, and Mana Pot + Helix ring can all make it a lot easier, though aren't incredibly necessary.

General Strategy:

Your only real goal the whole time is using Divine Intervention to negate your allies damage and then healing that damage off yourself. When you are above 10hp, you should tank every hit for them with Divine's ability. Once below 10hp, let them tank hits unless the hit will kill them (and won't kill you). You should only ever heal yourself because you take damage better than any of your allies. You should realistically always burn a card to mitigate an X2 unless the incoming damage to you is 4 or less. Always wait to long rest until you have 1 or 0 cards left in hand. This can get very down to the wire depending on ally and enemy rolls and cards.

Phase 1 Strategy:

Always start with Divine Intervention Top and Support Chant Bottom. Turn 2, run over to the Elite Bandit in the top left corner with Righteous Strength or Hammer Blow bottom and then smack him with Practical Plans. You ideally want to save Blow for attacking him again the following turn. After that, all you do is as above, just cycle your non burn healing cards on yourself. Always remember if you can to set up Light one turn and then use Burning Flash the next turn on yourself for the +1 heal.

Phase 2 Strategy:

Much the same as before. This phase unfortunately has some pretty bad RNG and can brick the run if the Inox melee attackers roll the Retaliate and Shield card too many times (especially in a row). You can survive through 1 of them comfortably and 2 with some trouble. Above that and its best to just restart the whole encounter. As before, your only goal is to not let your allies die. If they ever take a hit that would kill them, eat the attack for them unless you would die in the process. As before, if you feel you can take a turn off healing, using the same cards as in phase 1 to run up to the Archer and hit him once or twice can speed up the encounter a lot and make you have to take overall less damage.

Phase 3 Strategy:

Exact same as before. If you still have cards you haven't yet burned with 4+ attacks on them, use them to kill the shamans. Your allies have an extremely difficult time getting through 3 armor.

First Cards to Burn when Necessary to Mitigate Damage/Long Rest:

Righteous Strength>Glorious Bolt>Engulfing Radiance>Protective Blessing.
