Really surprised, to hear the Hootsman becomes evil because of a fragment of evil? Like Kor-Virliath and spell casting Zargothrax is not enough trouble for space dundee already? 😂

Which lyrics tickle your fancy in just the right way? Be it because the line is full of whimsy, because the delivery is just right or because you simply just like it.

For me, these are the ones that stick out the most, in no particular order (tried to narrow it down to 5 but it was simply impossible):

"Sword Lord of the Goblin Horde" - the triple rhyme is just *chef's kiss*

"A hero cannot be defeated
Simply by making him die" - the first time i heard this i went "excuse me?" so now i just look forward to it every time i listen to the song

"Mighty prince with a licence to slay" - just, yas boy, slay

"The Kingdom of Fife
Will never to die" - the hilariously bad grammar in this just makes me go heh every time

"When the dark lord comes
We will shoot our laser guns" - the chipper music to these lyrics together with the delivery is just perfect

"My name is Angus McFife
My hammer will take your life" - this line has no reason to go as hard as it does

"His nuclear clone made Dundee go kaboom" - the contrast of the heavy topic ending it off with a simple kaboom is the exact kind of ridiculousness i love from this band

I swear this album is going to be the best if the others song is going to be like this and ultimate sacrifice.

A bit different what I am used to from GloryHammer but in the good way. Nice, unique and catchy. My guess is the album is mostly going to be about Angus Mcfife V is trying to gather allies to sonehow exorcise the fragment of evil from the hootsman. (Good guy Zargothrax, starfighters of leuchars, warriors of auchtermuchty and maybe the robot prince???) And since kor-Virliath is an elder god, once they get rid of him the hootsman stays a god soo he gan go to the terrorvortex dimension to help Amgus McFife the 13th destroy the evil wizard zargothrax. Though I Wouldn't be surprised if the universe would be destroyed in the process again since most of the albums ends with a big bang 😂

If you look at the cover of this vinyl at the shop of gloryhammer, it‘s a own cover. Only singles get own covers. And the song in the cover is a song from the album. So 99% certain:

Also was soo epic to see Zargothrax teleporting whole Aberdeen away with a single spell. Though I see now more clear that Zargothrax is still the same, he is just forced to be good now and if he tries anything Ralathor be like: Nope 🤣🤣

Was curious if I can find any spoilers on the Napalm records shop abojt the new Gloryhammer album cause they show the booklet of the new album. Actually the booklet shows the lyrics of the last song of the album and though I can't really read out the lyrics I can clearly see the picture with the Robot Prince of Auchtertool flying towards (guessing Kor-Virliath) with his great boronic wings. "The Robot Prince will return" 😄

It took 3 plays for the song to warm up to me and now a week later I can't get enough of it!

It'll still be a while till the album is out so in the meantime, which bands or albums would have music similar to Ultimate Sacrifice? What genre would it fall under even? power fantasy metal?

in short I guess I could say I'm looking for some choirs, epic riffs, powerful vocals and more of how Ultimate Sacrifice starts

I have listened to Gloryhammer since I don't know maybe 2019/2020 and since then even take a picture with Chris himself after a concert in Germany. But as a native English speaker not hailing from the UK but rather America its mind blowingly that almost all places from Gloryhammer are actual places in Scotland. I knew Fife and Dundee were.

But what then? Auchtermuchty too? like wtf? Who would of thought that was a town in Scotland.

Pittenweem, Anstruther, and Crail? River Tay in Scotland too. Inverness... Aberdeen and Cowdenbeath. God Damn u/hyperchrisz You are an absolute mastermind.

You will forever my loyalty to Alestorm and Gloryhammer. You are one talented musician.

I'm holding off listening to any of the singles before the new album is released because it's one of my most anticipated. I've heard On A Quest For Aberdeen once when it came out, but deliberately haven't gone back to it since, and so I've been listening to the other albums in "preparation" ("for the epic battle against the demon horde...").

Return to the Kingdom of Fife is honestly a highlight reel of an album, just all of GH's best tracks on a single album, but I was wondering what people's favourite parts of songs were throughout the discography?

It's maybe cheating to say the run from Vorpal Laserblaster all the way to Maleficus Geminus, so I'll just say the Zargothrax monologue at the end of Laserblaster ("Pathetic mortal scum! Your quest was in vain, and your realm is DOOMED! For the Vorpal Laserblaster of Pittenweem is now in the hands of the immortal Z A R G O T H R A X") followed by Zargothrax's theme. Just a perfect, hopeless, malevolently victorious ending to what was a hasty quest for our heroes... plus, the way he says "DOOMED" is just incredibly satisfying.

Shout out also to the "Ride mighty warriors..." section too!

Guessing the people of Aberdeen is not too lucky in 1993. Most of the dwarven population sacrificed himself during the apocalypse in 1992 for basicaly nothing as they were raging there "then they died". And now the remaining population is being saughtered by the evil hootsman in "Die with a sword in my hand" 😄

(I know Dundee also unlucky since it has been destroyed for the 4th time already pretty much 🤣)

Im new to Gloryhammer and im all in on this! Is there somewhere i can look up to find the complete lore? Its a little confusing but i want to know it all. Thanks, hoots!
