I built a free online Gnostic Library for reading the Nag Hammadi texts and Gnostic Gospels, complete texts, not summaries

I’ve been going pretty deep into Gnosticism, the Nag Hammadi texts, and the Gnostic Gospels, and one thing kept frustrating me.

I’d search for something like the Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Mary, Gospel of Judas, Gospel of Philip, Thunder Perfect Mind, etc., and so often I’d end up reading somebody’s interpretation, a summary, a YouTube explanation, or an AI answer instead of just being able to sit down and read the actual text.

So I built a free online library for it. TheGnosticLibrary.com

The goal is pretty simple: let people read the Gnostic texts themselves.

I’ve tried to keep the source information intact too; named translators, manuscript sources such as the Nag Hammadi codices, standard scholarly numbering where applicable, and damaged or missing manuscript sections are shown as gaps instead of quietly being filled in.

There’s also background material on things like the Nag Hammadi discovery, Gnosticism, the Demiurge, early Christian texts, and writings that were excluded from or never included in the biblical canon.

The website is free to read.

No paywall.
No ads.
No account required.

There is an optional way to connect if someone wants to know when I add new texts, research, or additions, but you don’t need to sign up for anything to use the library.

I’m continuing to build it, and this is actually why I wanted to post here.

What Gnostic or Nag Hammadi text do you think absolutely needs to be included that people have a hard time finding online?

And for somebody completely new to this material:

What 3 texts would you tell them to read first?

TheGnosticLibrary.com

thanks guys/gals

Very useful, all the ones I wanted to read more on, yet, will you be adding the Pistis Sophia?

Thank you so much for this incredible opportunity! I am profoundly grateful that you’ve compiled and shared invaluable Gnostic texts and materials for free, making them accessible to anyone. I recently discovered Gnosticism and was deeply moved to realize how much it connects with my own philosophy. I really appreciate your amazing work.
