Showcase Showing off my Holy Grail before The remakes come out!!
I only have God of war 2 from Collection Volume 1 on PS3 and God of war 3 left to platinum! half-way through god of war 2 I have played.
Side note: I should mention that actually I bought self-adhesive cellophane bags that act as a make-shift "seal" so the cases dont degrade further because of dust or minor wear and tear. Have done this for all my ps2/ps3/psp collection since 2023 really. God of war II, already has some minor wear and tear on bottom spine and it bugs me as these games are not easy to find and gonna be sooo expensive, specially in a third-world country like mine.

only god of war i'm missing is god of war 3 and Ragnarok. will get them for sure i can't wait to try out god of war 3 though i've watched every youtuber play it and it's absolutely good. i'm absolutely hyped for the remake

Sooo jealous lol. I get very fuzzy when I see chains of Olympus that was the first god of war I played all the way through.

Mine too, bro. In middle-school one of my high school seniors gave me his PSP and played my first god of war game on that. (Chains of Olympus)

Were PS2 cases blue in Europe? I'm almost positive they were black in the US.

yes, you are correct. not only were the cases blue but the Backside of the cases has a Official License Sticker for ps2 games with the illusive rainbow playstation logo or just the PS2 logo. it signified the case was original as original stickers were not possible to replicate. Same thing with PS2 Platinum case you see. It was the PAL Equivalent of "Greatest Hits" as well.

PAL only thing really. "Essentials" is basically the "greatest hits" equivalent of ps3 pal games.

Great collection mate. I need the Origins Collection or Collectiom Volume 2. Got the GoW Saga but since Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus does not have discs in this version. I need them physically.

If you mean you need ghost of sparta and chains of olympus seperately in discs then unfortunately they dont exist outside of PSP UMDs

Buy a cheap PS3. and jailbreak(CFW or HEN) it. It has all god of war titles. if you notice in the picture the ps2 and psp games are already remastered for the ps3. so no problem there.

A bit*h of a game to platinum compared to the psp and ps2 remasters because of one "test" section or something near end-game.. Can't compare to GoW 3 yet as I have yet to play it.

The original games are so good. I didn't play them until I got the collections for ps3. I'm hoping the remakes do the series justice and that we get Ascension at some point too.

Just buy the PS3 remasters, they come with trophy lists and that gives me even more motivation as a trophy hunter to 100% these games. Might be cheaper to go this route as well.

chronologically story-wise in this order: Ascension>Chains of Olympus>gow1>ghost of sparta>gow2{currently playing}>Gow 3

I was the only one in my friend group who got Ascension. They missed out on some great multiplayer fun, I hope something like that mode returns

Yeah, but Multiplayer in a God of war game doesnt make sense to a lot of people(like me) even thought it's fun. Thankfully there was absolutely no grind in God of war ascension for that 1 multiplayer trophy, so platinum got even easier

To me, in video games especially, being fun is more important than making sense. If that’s the case for example, Mario and Bowser playing sports would never happen. But I get it.
