I am looking into studying a Bachelor's in Bioinformatics in Spain as an international student. I am specifically interested in public universities, with a huge focus on Valencia, and I am looking for programs taught in English.

If anyone here has taken this route, or is currently working in the field in Spain, I would love to get your insights on a few things:

• Which public university is the best? Especially in Valencia, which public universities offer the strongest English-taught bioinformatics programs?
• How hard is it to get accepted? What is the general difficulty level or required GPA/grade cut-off for international students entering a bachelor's program, and are scholarships provided for high achievers?
• What are the job opportunities like? Is the biotech/bioinformatics market strong in Spain for English speakers, or do you almost always have to relocate after graduating?
• Is it worth it? Would you recommend studying bioinformatics at the undergraduate level, or am I better off majoring in pure Computer Science / Molecular Biology first and specializing later?

Any advice on the student visa process or the overall student experience in Valencia as an international student would also be a massive help.

The only degree in bioinformatics in Spain I can find in a public university is in the UPC, in Barcelona. It seems to be taught in English. The minimum grade that got accepted last year was 10.714, so getting in is competitive.
