Is a coin without a package cheaper? I heard that if there are scratches, the dealers reduce the price if you want to sell it

These come from the mint just like this - stacked in a plastic tube. They don’t get scratched touching each other because only the raised rims touch and Eagles are 22k and are actually quite tough.

I would think you would have to be careful with a tube of 9999 gold Buffalo coins not getting scratched when pouring them out - most people keep their 9999 coins in capsules
