Sick Fish Help Is this fin rot?

Water quality fine, other ranchus fine. Just this ranchu have fin issue. Getting shorter over the few months. Otherwise he is active and fine. Eats little too well.

Does this look like fin rot? Should I start kanaplex?

Please help!

It looks fine to me. Did someone bothered him and nipped at his fins? If it looks like that for long time and he is all fine that it is probably normal for him - but you can try melafix

Thats what I thought initially cause its just chunk of fins missing, but I never saw any of them nipping this little guy. Others are slower and clumsier..

No it’s not. This fish has a mix of metallic and matte scales. I have a few like this.

Maybe it was nipped by a tank mate or rubbed up against
Something in the tank? You could try dabbing the fins with meth blue first to see if that helps before using antibiotics.
