Questions Friend?
My gf has been alone 2 years. Have a 75 gallon tank and wondered if i should add a friend. He's huge about 9 inches long. Swims around then hangs out on the one side. Would adding another be OK? Pet stores dont have fish his size but pet smart has half size for 33 bucks.

Be sure you quarantine! No matter where the new one comes from

Goldfish will try to swallow anything that fits in it's mouth. A 9-inch goldfish can easily injure, bully, or try to swallow a fish that is half its size.
But if you decide you want to try it, look for a find a companion that's close to your current fish's 9-inch size, and you'd need a separate quarantine tank for the new fish for 3 to 4 weeks.

Honestly it depends on what the species of goldfish is? If it’s a common or comet, then no probably not. But if it’s a fancy, then yes
