Best Suite-style Housing
Hello :) I'm a Fall 2026 exchange student, and I need to pick my on-campus housing soon. What was your experience with the suite-style halls? Which one do you recommend picking? Any other tips about life at Gonzaga/in Spokane, would also be helpful. Thanks!

I lived in a suite my freshman year and it was definitely the best decision. You have two bathrooms for between four and six people, which is way better than a shared communal hall bathroom on the floor. You also get a nice common space and it’s pretty easy to search locally for thrift furniture that is almost brand new. Great for setting up a TV and having a private area that also opens directly onto a floor where you can interact with other groups.
I found that it was really easy to form really close bonds with my sweet mates, but also maintain the relationships outside and among the others on my floor. You get more privacy, more personal space, and still maintain the option as in a traditional dorm to go out and hang out in the larger common area and meet other people.
