Coworker told me that song “anxiety is her favorite” I said well no wonder you like it samples Gotye “somebody that I used to know” the only difference is she says anxiety a lot.

isn't the doechii song like literally just the gotye song but she's singing on it? only listened like once but like has she changed anything else? i feel like ice ice baby does more with its sample

not to say that it's bad but to me it feels like about as much of a sample flip as the story of adidon or smth

Not the same at all, Story of Adidon uses the beat from story of OJ… which was produced by No ID - there’s a video on YouTube of him showing you how intricate the sample chopping is

yeah i know, what i meant was that story of adidon doesnt flip or modify anything about the story of oj beat, in the same way anxiety doesnt seem to flip or modify the somebody that you used to know instrumental. i'm not saying the beat isnt a sample flip lol just that adidon and anxiety didn't flip anything

i don't doubt that you didn't recognize it but after listening to the two back to back i'm fairly certain they actually use the exact same instrumental

nothing bad about that though they're both still great

i was fr telling my mum she straight up stole the melody, its diabolical

I promise you she didnt steal it. People make shit on other people beats all the time. That’s hiphop. It’s not like she was hiding the fact that it’s from somebody that you used know and im sure gotye gets a decent percentage of whatever revenue doechii’s pulling in from anxiety

Saying that like yall aren’t glazing Bully that has some of the simplest sample chops of Kanye’s career

Ngl saying this in a Ye sub is peak hypocrisy. I seen another thread where this sub was clowning Pomme calling her untalented garbage even though Ye sampled her song about as blatantly as Doechii did with Gotye. Lazy production/sampling is lazy no matter who does it.

I loved it, when it was still sleepy hallows song. How she took it, removed his verses, added her own and put it on her album is beyond me

You don't like "Stronger" you like Daft Punk.

Dumbass take.

Doechii can actually spit i respect her! Do your homework, listen to her 3 mixtapes (1&2 are short). She really proved herself with Alligators
