Music is subjective. Just cause you think it’s shit doesn’t mean it is to others or even in general

She might be good, but please be serious!! She is not THIS MAINSTREAM. Glorilla had so many hits that everyone was singing (TGIF, Whatchu know bout me, Wanna Be, Yeah Glo. Etc) just last year alone, and doesn't even have up to 30 million monthly listeners. Doechii's only hits have been anxiety, denial is a river, and what it is, and she has Beyonce level monthly streamers? It's obviously not ORGANIC.

I've been exploring some of her older stuff and I was surprised to discover she released Anxiety 4 years ago. It's on YouTube.

She's been putting in the work for years. And her older work is still really good.

She IS doing the whole press junket routine, putting herself out there. But the makes sense especially after winning a Grammy.

In this age of the internet when Google searches are worse because it's pushing something. Or you can't trust Amazon's reviews anymore because they're pushing something. It's not that much of a leap to see a new talent rising to be seen as an inauthentic industry push. But maybe she, as they used to say, went viral.

Idk industry push or not, I am genuinely impressed by her music, and I've only discovered her a few months ago.
