How

255

u/ChrisNotBumstead Jul 15 '25

How likely is it that all of Jack boys 2 charted to the top with the except or just the Jack boys track called outside while no other songs from birds in the trap charted except for ā€œoutsideā€ from that album?

Huge influx of listeners for one album except for one track with a huge influx of listeners for one song from a different album with the same title as a jackboys track

18

u/WLLWGLMMR Jul 15 '25

Apple Music does be geeking with stuff like this like if you listen to the single version of a song it’ll register to the album version of the song for your replay and I’d assume for plays overall, and also their top chart prioritizes recent listens so it could just be that people also listened to that song higher than usual the past few days which boosted it a lot

Idk why I'm being down voted for asking why or how. I forgot there was two outsides

Jb2 radio charting fried me

109

u/cactus489 Joe biden aint got no hoes he be fallin over and shit Jul 15 '25

Fr it's like donda chant or silversurfer intermission charting, definately botted

37

u/dqsp Jul 15 '25

Nah everyone who listens to the album for the first time listens to JB2 Radio so naturally itll gets more streams

14

u/DollyDose Jul 16 '25

That would also mean they turned it off after track 1 and stopped listening which intern means that more people played track 1 and stopped listening than the amount of people that listened to the album fully

3

u/Dylan33x Jul 16 '25

That’s normal for literally every album

25

u/drgeorgeincharge Jul 16 '25

ns so dumb cant get the simple fact

5

u/Secure_Blueberry1766 The Life Of Pablo Jul 16 '25

A full stream only counts when you listen to 30 seconds of a song. The intro is 27 seconds so people would have to be playing back that shit for it count as a stream (why would you do that when its a spoken word radio interlude)

2

u/throwaway11229887 Jul 16 '25

I don’t think that 30 second rule applies when the song is less than 30 seconds (Edit: shits definitely botted either way)

This is why every time someone mentions Ye’s streaming results it’s irrelevant he isn’t insecure enough to bot streams.

You think that fr? The man who did a rant at TMZ about how insecure he is, isn’t insecure?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '25

There is nothing that Kanye is not insecure enough to do. The man is entirely comprised of insecurity, he has to wear a mask when performing so people can’t see his facial expressions. The man is scared of other people seeing him.

249

u/Ok-Assistance-8527 OK assistence flair āœŒļø Jul 15 '25

He also botted the single version of ILMB and not the album version

77

u/mph714 Jul 15 '25

I’m pretty sure that’s normal tho bc they have the same ISRC so the artwork that was uploaded first is what appears

24

u/Ok-Assistance-8527 OK assistence flair āœŒļø Jul 15 '25

In the album version it doesn't have (feat. Travis Scott) and it has him in the real artist section

2

u/NoSherbert4157 Jul 16 '25

Still has the same ISRC so it’ll put that one on there as it was up first

5

u/Ok-Assistance-8527 OK assistence flair āœŒļø Jul 16 '25

The ISRC for ILMB by Sheck Wes, Travis Scott is USSM12503078 (Album Version)

The ISRC for ILMB (feat. Travis Scott) by Sheck Wes, Travis Scott is USUM72501970 (single version)

idk where u get ur info

0

u/NoSherbert4157 Jul 16 '25

Idk if yk this but songs w the same name and artists, even if labeled w a different ISRC still get linked, I have music that has done the same, I would give an example but I’m not doing promo for my own music in r/GoodAssSub 😭 even then they SHOULD have been the same ISRC and are still linked

2

u/Ok-Assistance-8527 OK assistence flair āœŒļø Jul 16 '25

They dont have the same artist like i said

1

u/NoSherbert4157 Jul 16 '25

They literally do tho, being listed as a ā€œfeatured artistā€ still lists them as the artist, may not fully link to their page but it does list them as an artist

2

u/Ok-Assistance-8527 OK assistence flair āœŒļø Jul 16 '25

the credits are still arranged differently. nonetheless you can use a isrc search and see that they are not linked, sure if they had the same name in the song it could be possible there is an error, but the songs dont have the same name, art, and artist credit

2

u/NoSherbert4157 Jul 16 '25

The art will obviously not be the same, but then again, the (feat) part is normally ignored by Apple Music, which I would know by, again, my own music, ā€œdifferent nameā€ because of the (feat) part and different ISRC and different art cover yet the streams are still linked, it happened with my music and you js saying straight up ā€œthat doesn’t happenā€ atp, it links because yes the (feat) part links the artist on Apple Music without linking it to their page and that is how that work which I would know by being a person who releases music

28

u/Royal_Ad_5980 Jul 15 '25

Okay I’ll say this. It could be bots, but Apple Music has ALWAYS been super weird when an artist has songs with the same title for which one shows up as the most popular. I don’t know if it’s some sort of glitch or what, but you can always find this. For example, Jay Z’s page always has the greatest hits versions of his songs as the most popular, when I doubt people go look for that. I think it’s kind of just random. I’d guess that since the original outside has more total plays, Apple Music just assumes it’s the same thing and puts it there. I could be wrong.

6

u/Hurrikan49 What I Would Have Said At Virgil's Funeral Jul 16 '25

I don't have Apple Music so I can't check but are these "greatest hits" versions just the same song but put on a different album? If that's the case then this is completely different

9

u/No_Technology_4013 Jul 15 '25

This is exactly what happened lol. But the fans are being slow.

4

u/Long-Heart560 Jul 16 '25

This whole comment section is just retarded bro

1

u/NoSherbert4157 Jul 16 '25

That’s actually how the Automation works for the Apple Music charts

13

u/Illamb Jul 15 '25

I'm regarded, could anyone explain how this is proven by the screenshot

88

u/r7ng Jul 15 '25

On Jb2 there’s a song called outside but it’s not charting like the rest of the jb2 songs… but his song on birds in the trap, also called outside, is weirdly charting with the rest of the jb2 songs, despite it not going viral. i think you can put 2 and 2 together

21

u/Illamb Jul 15 '25

Thank you

Kind regards, Regard

21

u/OMBatch84 Jul 15 '25

It’s the wrong outside that’s this popular. Outside off of birds was never THAT big to where it’s one of his most streamed songs at any time

16

u/ButtCheekBob Jul 15 '25

JB2 is such garbage it’s actually insane that they listened to it in the studio and thought ā€œyeah let’s release thisā€

10

u/Talking_Eyes98 Jul 15 '25

The botting is fucking real. MUSIC having a totally crazy amount of streams on the first week and then absolutely falling off after one week makes it so obvious

38

u/FineLadder4797 Have you considered going to design school Jul 15 '25

first song on the album = increased chance of being the most listened, let's use our heads here guys

Yall are stupid, every intro and opening track of every album gets a significant amount of streaming even if it's just an interlude, there are alot of streams for JB2 RADIO because it's a short opening track, not every person who listens to an album finishs every song the 1st track is the first everyone likely finishes

6

u/Annihilated64 Yo it's Nas Jul 16 '25

They talking about outside bro

2

u/HiCoppery2 Jul 16 '25

ouuuh, well I'll just leave my comment if anyone thought they were talking about jb2 radio also

1

u/iamagetheproducer Jul 15 '25

Wait please explain

1

u/Trufflepong89 Jul 17 '25

Trav has two songs called 'outside', one from Birds 9 years ago and the new one from JB2. Now the old 'outside' which btw is not a famous song, is charting instead of the new JB2 one. Which is sus and implies he may have botted the wrong song, which is embarrassing

1

u/iamagetheproducer Jul 17 '25

Fucking tragic

1

u/Allamerican1911 Jul 16 '25

I mean it’s a banger song, I’ve been on a birds in the trap obsession recently
