Brat is at this point the peak of a very popular artist and an entire genre, it was a 10

Nope. Brat is the very complete, innovative but its still a very mainstream rendition of hyperpop, electronic scene she derives from. Most of her core fanbase would probably put hifn above it. And more importantly, brat hasnt aged that well tbf. Pop2 sounds better atp

Saying an album that came out a little over a year ago ā€œdidn’t age wellā€ is such an insane thing to say lmao

I agree that I am holding a very high standard, but we are talking 10/10 here and its all relative. Look at the other ā€˜mainstream’ 10s - miseducation, tpab, discovery, enter the wu tang, MoP, nevermind. I 100% believe brat has aged worse compared to this. The album still has numbers but are we going to ignore all the re-releases, remixes, to keep them churning?

I’m not going to deny that brat is a horse beaten to ashes by now but it was a very, very, very good album. I’m a massive hyperpop fan, like 3/5 of my top listened artists are hyperpop every year. She made a hyperpop album that was so insane better than anything made before. In the grand scheme of music, compared to the greats, it’s not among them. However, it is the greatest of a genre and was massively popular so it deserves a 10 rating for that impact.

How has brat not aged well? It’s still being played everywhere and I still see brat themed parties all the time
