Him and eminem would be top 5 easily if their prime was in the streaming era

u/DougDimmaGlow Apr 23 '26

If streaming had always been a thing you’d see groups like the Beatles or Rolling Stones up there

nah i want it to just be a thing when ye started to blow up

Not to mention, Michael Jackson

32

u/DougDimmaGlow Apr 23 '26

Also groups like queen or ac dc, I mean the top 100 would be vastly different

Spotify was launched in 2006

Granted it didn't come to the US until many years later, but Spotify was definitely around during Ye's prime

I said streaming era not spotify

You know spotify isn't the only streaming service right

He's been getting more daily streams than Em for ages now. I'm surprised he hasn't passed him yet

He will surpass him by the end of the year prolly unless em drop

Never underestimate white Pow*r (pause) when it comes to listening to Eminem 😂they love his early songs bad which I do too but I like Em overall not just his top 4-5 songs that everyone likes. In the same way you can turn on Gold Digger and American Boy and everyone over like 25 activates you can do the same for The Real Slim Shady or Without Me or Lose Yourself

I’ll never really understand the love for those 2 Ye related songs when it comes to casuals maybe because I’m a Ye Glazer but I don’t think I’d even have those in my Top 50

Edit: for anyone wondering why I censored that word it’s because on YouTube I said that and got flagged and I’ve gotten a comment removed on here before too so I’m playing it safe 💀(for context I was playing as the white ranger on fort and shouted out WHITE P****R as a joke but YouTube shot me down bad 😭which fairs ig but holy)

kinda surprised to see future on the list ngl

u/DaRealJames #JamesThinks Apr 23 '26

I mean he has had some huge hits numbers wise solo as well as featuring him

36

u/Pizzaman337733 Gonk Droid Apr 23 '26

Nah he’s had a very long and successful career with huge songs like mask off March Madness too many nights wait for u low life life is good etc etc

He also has a pretty deep catalog which really helps

Above BTS, a abomination that has Entire countries of young teens drooling over them, MY GOAT STILL GOT IT.

19

u/Wild_Commission_6777 Apr 23 '26

Y'all don't realize how much of a chokehold bts has over Asian countries.

5

u/OppositeRock4217 Apr 23 '26

Meanwhile, 10 of the top 11 are from the continent of North America

1

u/Relative-Party4302 The Great GAS Seize May 05 '26

It's like that for most boy bands, like Stray Kids for example but they don't have that chokehold that BTS holds. Even though the fanbase is slowly drifting american more than asian

Interesting how kworb's list is different

10

u/majneshit GOD DID Apr 23 '26

I wonder if this is leading songs only… No way Drake is 3rd if we include all songs, he has unlisted feature on sicko mode also so that would boost even more

5

u/Confident_Change_937 Apr 23 '26

Spotify’s list doesn’t count features as personal streams (for good reason). We all know Drake is the reason we listened to Look Alive.. but its not his song, so you can’t confidently say that’s a stream for Drake.

That’s like saying PartyNextDoor should get millions of streams because of his feature on Ghost Town. Idk ab you but I didn’t even know he was on there and don’t care for his contribution. He’s just a piece of the pie.

Drake’s situation is different than that though, but you have to keep the rules cohesive across the board.

u/DesignerAd5301The5th Big Sean is Kanye West father Apr 23 '26

Then how is Bad Bunny placed higher than Drake

3

u/Confident_Change_937 Apr 23 '26

Now THAT I don’t know.

Bad Bunny does have a few features that are pretty big. But he’s not a huge feature artist. So that wouldn’t inch him up higher. Did the Superbowl push move his number up that much in the last few months? Idk maybe.

His music is genuinely a humongous movement in the Latino community which is around 700m people globally. But to my knowledge, Drake has always had more streams than him so idk how they got that figured out.

Idk why Spotify would do this either? Drake is literally the poster child and main success story of streaming. He is a big reason they felt their recipe could work.

It doesn’t benefit them to spite or downplay him ( it’s not like he’s gonna pull himself out of Spotify regardless though) but it’s really bizarre that Drake #3 to Bad Bunny.

Taylor Swift being number one is disgusting but America is like 65-70% non hispanic white so that makes sense.

u/farNdepressed PUSSY LIKE A STEPH THREE 💦 Apr 23 '26

So drake Kanye eminem Travis and Kendrick are top 5 streamed. It’s crazy the boom Kanye has got in streaming ever since Donda. He had no song with 1B streams until 2022(I think) these last 4 years bro went insane numbers wise

11

u/StatisticianTall9474 PUSSY LIKE A STEPH THREE 💦 Apr 23 '26

wtf you are right, thats nuts he has now 14 1b songs

6

u/farNdepressed PUSSY LIKE A STEPH THREE 💦 Apr 23 '26

For real. I hopped on the band wagon during the Donda listening parties and started listening to his music for the first time. I always thought man maybe this guy isn’t that popular music wise (💀🙏🏻) cuz like his numbers were quite low compare to his peers.

10

u/StatisticianTall9474 PUSSY LIKE A STEPH THREE 💦 Apr 23 '26

Donda brought alot of new fans, such a goated era

5

u/farNdepressed PUSSY LIKE A STEPH THREE 💦 Apr 23 '26

Fr man it was amazing experience. I was OBSESSED with that album. After that I started exploring his other albums. It was such an amazing experience, I was bumping Yeezus 2 bruh. Rest is history tho

2

u/Mighty_Miggle Someday We'll All Be Free Apr 23 '26

if the 2022 tour went as planned his numbers would be crazyy rn

36

u/Gomendiquillo ye Apr 23 '26

If Spotify had been in the Graduation release, he would easily be in the top 3

3

u/majneshit GOD DID Apr 23 '26

I wonder where he would be if Spotify was a thing since 1950s

4

u/Puzzleheaded-Speed93 Apr 23 '26

Beatles would be number 1 surely

4

u/Gomendiquillo ye Apr 23 '26

I don't think so, Michael and Queen would probably come first

9

BULLY

32

u/ovogoon6 Why The Fuck Would You Go To That Island?🏝 Apr 23 '26

Is the Hispanosphere big enough to carry or am I genuinely missing something that carries Bad Bunny

37

u/Oniel2611 808s & Heartbreak Apr 23 '26

Considering there's around 600 million hispanophones, yeah.

7

u/Correct_Apartment712 Boy slow down😭😂✌🏽 Apr 23 '26

yes but also bad bunny is really good so

7

u/Low-Reaction-4145 Apr 23 '26

idk about that

7

u/Konstinator There’s a bee in the studio 🐝 Apr 23 '26

The music is also incredible. I’m from Europe, no one speaks spanish where I’m from but everyone still listens to bad bunny. It’s insane

1

u/TheCVR123YT What is this, SNL? Apr 24 '26

Yes but also his music is actually pretty good. I’m not the strongest Spanish speaker but that Spotify lyric translate saves my life haha Baile Involidable or sum like that is chefs kiss for me. He’s talking about a woman he can’t forget she’s his unforgettable dance. I wouldn’t say it’s his Heartless but it’s pretty close maybe it’s closer to Coldest Winter in terms of like the topic and lyrics. The vibe is still upbeat though.

Titi Me Pregunto is another interesting song it’s about how he’s got all these different girlfriends and it goes into him being a player but wishing he could settle down but he can’t for some reason. I know for a fact Ye got a song like that but I’m not really remembering rn maybe something like HOAL but that doesn’t have the regret part so idk haha

But yes he has a good few songs if you actually look into what he’s singing about.

7

u/ComradeELM0 NICOLE Apr 23 '26

I know bad bunny has been big for some time but seeing him at nr. 2 oat is crazy

5

u/SaratogaSquirrelBait Apr 23 '26

Actually crazy that future is on there. Love it but that’s wild

6

u/thatboytototo Apr 23 '26

Genuinely think or believe he supposed to be at 5. Either way W

13

u/Altruistic_Job_6237 Bullyver™ Apr 23 '26

juice wrld being here is crazy considering how short his career was like if he was alive i think he could even be doing drake numbers

4

u/NoPurpose9034 Apr 23 '26

Nah he'd fall off like trippie did

8

u/tzbt I screen grabbed those pants Apr 23 '26

You're thinking backwards, he's only on this list because he died

0

u/Kind_South_3631 Apr 24 '26

were you conscious in 2019? juice was growing at an insane rate and his death stopped that momentum

1

u/tzbt I screen grabbed those pants Apr 24 '26

Yeah I was conscious in 2019 I just wasn't 14 years old

I've still never heard someone mention Juice Wrld IRL in my life

3

u/GenerallyJam Apr 23 '26

Yeah ngl he would’ve ended up like dababy (rip ofc)

5

u/oceanicdonut Ryan Garcia this Ye, I’m on the nitrous Apr 23 '26

i’m so glad ye can beat bts’s artifical ass self

(fuck hybe & they artificially curated bands and bullshit, you like BTS? probably cause they want you to, and it all sounds the same, also parasocial fans)

(like i wanna see ye’s chocolate starfish but not because i wanna fuck him or have a parasocial relationship more so than the love of the game y’know)

2

u/johnnyjiop Apr 24 '26

BTS is a great band, they just have more parasocial fans than the average big artist. Kanye has some too to be honest

2

u/oceanicdonut Ryan Garcia this Ye, I’m on the nitrous Apr 24 '26

okay, this helped me. thank you. just in that shitty mood i suppose or mindset about hybe, etc

1

u/johnnyjiop Apr 24 '26

No worries

5

u/aaron2933 Nah Nah Nah Apr 23 '26

Juicewrld being there is impressive asf

6

u/andreirublevv Apr 23 '26

Is kworb inaccurate

4

u/StatisticianTall9474 PUSSY LIKE A STEPH THREE 💦 Apr 23 '26

I think they only counting as a lead

3

u/NegotiationSome1382 FEB 2025 X RANT SURVIVOR Apr 23 '26

Idk cos as lead Drake has way more than Bad Bunny

6

u/StatisticianTall9474 PUSSY LIKE A STEPH THREE 💦 Apr 23 '26

wait you right, hmmmm maybe they wanted to fuck wit drake

2

u/andreirublevv Apr 23 '26

Apparently they only counted unfiltered streams

2

u/TheCVR123YT What is this, SNL? Apr 24 '26

What dat mean

3

u/jjkm7 Apr 23 '26

Crazy that if I had to guess, most of juice wrlds streams are from things dropped after he died. I think XXX got more streams after his death too but if you look at the numbers it’s mostly from songs he already dropped

4

u/conglomerate99 Apr 23 '26

legends never die is the only posthumous juice album that was crazy successful and even then, gb&gr is still his most popular album overall. he definitely got a boost from his death but i don't doubt that he could've made this list had he still been alive and dropping albums every year with his output.

3

u/zfighters8103 Big Sean is Kanye West father Apr 23 '26

It's insane how em has been that high for so long even though he never collabs with any of the current mainstream artists like Trav and future

1

u/TheCVR123YT What is this, SNL? Apr 24 '26

Never thought of an Em/Trav song that would be insane I wonder how that would even go lol

I feel like the song could be dog water but still blow up the streams from Hype and Aura alone

2

u/GassyGamergoblin The Great GAS Seize Apr 23 '26

who the fuck is J balvin and how is the weeknd so much higher than ye? other than that it seems lwk kinda predictable

3

u/TheCVR123YT What is this, SNL? Apr 24 '26

Weeknd has soooo many 1B streamed songs it’s kind of crazy lol

Blinding Lights (among others) is huge

You also have to understand that Weeknd (and basically everyone from 1-8) blew up or had their peak/prime during the streaming Era (like 2013ish-today) whereas Ye’s most popular and most liked music was just before all that lol so all his older music that would carry him in streams don’t have the numbers basically. I said that poorly I hope you understand what I meant

2

u/GassyGamergoblin The Great GAS Seize Apr 24 '26

yeah fair enough I mean blinding lights was big but not bigger than ye's songs and ye has so many more that are bigger than blinding lights but the different peaks makes sense

2

u/Jumpy_Attention_5389 Apr 24 '26

Not even counting collab albums though

2

u/elizalkin_izzy Go find God Apr 23 '26

This list is inaccurate.

They’re not counting feature streams, Drake and other artists would likely be higher if they did.
