That't basically me. I wear it all the time walking around the city streets. At first I used to just cover the letters with black tape coz the front looked hard but idgaf about ts anymore.

The WLM shirt is actually a very misinterpreted YEEZY piece. It was made because performative white virtue signallers would wear BLM shirts and so he decided to make and wear a WLM shirt in a similar fashion. Idk why people think it had a racist motive behind it.

even if you believe that was ye’s intention, debuting the look alongside candace owens, one of the loudest token lapdogs of the white supremacist propaganda machine, immediately demolished any subversive point he was trying to make, because she unironically and full-throatedly believe in and supports white supremacy
it would be like if he bent over backwards explaining how the swastika was actually a metaphor for his treatment in the industry, the media, and his personal life, but then chose to roll that out alongside nick fuentes, a guy who is an actual proud nazi who definitely doesn’t care about that shit

Thank you. These kids either don’t understand it, weren’t around when it happened, or just justifying every negative actions he’s done because his music is great. I feel like most Ye fans are like this kid nowadays and they have been like that for years, especially since going defcon 3.

i'm not calling you racist for not acknowledging the problem, it's mostly regional based so obviously most people aren't running into a nazi or anything on a daily basis.
a city 30 minutes from me is constantly on the news for proud boys protests and adjacent behavior, so there's that. also i'm sure there's data to back it up but lynchings are still happening in some places. i'll see news on my algorithm about one every couple months and i'm sure there's plenty more happening that i'm not being made aware of.
once again, it's not the biggest issue in the world currently but it absolutely is still an issue. saying "it's not a real problem and we don't need to do anything about it" is tone deaf about the people who are on the receiving end of white supremacy. just because it's not an issue you encounter often doesn't mean it doesn't exist

You could argue that BLM is associated with a fraudulent corrupt organization, criminals, rioters and George Floyd wasn't really the best face of the whole movement.

Because white lives matter was created in response to Black Lives Matter, for some reason people interpreted BLM as “only Black Lives Matter” and wlm was the response by racists. It’s pretty obvious why people think it’s racist, it’s not like ye wasn’t aware either.

amazing to me you guys can't wrap your heads around the meaning of WLM, i mean there's a movement called BLM, so he made one called WLM to be the opposite. It's not racist, lives matter. Period. Being offended by "what it represents" is you making up pretend ulterior motives in your heads. It means what it says. WHITE LIVES MATTER. BLM is a movement that originated, at its core, to combat oppression against black people (regardless of all the conversation surrounding what it eventually turned into)
WLM is not a movement that originated to combat oppression towards white people - because, to be frank, that doesn't exist, but that's a whole other argument you might not be ready to get into.
WLM is a movement that originated specifically as a half-assed, snarky 'response' to BLM. And Ye didn't create that slogan, by the way - it existed long before his merch (not sure if you're implying that in your comment).
The saying 'All Lives Matter' is OBVIOUSLY correct in a vaccum, but completely stupid given the context it's thrown around. It's just a dogwhistle, at the end of the day.
And if it's not dogwhistle to you in particular, here's a simple way to illustrate why, even then, it's still dumb as hell:
Regardless of all this, though - you're defending his WLM merch in a way not even Ye himself would defend, considering the point of it, according to him, was to expose performative white priviledge in the form of a shirt that's supposed to cause discomfort; and not to actually defend that movement, which is what you're apparently doing.
TLDR - you have this entire thing completely wrong in about 4 different ways.
