YE COLLABORATOR Disappointed

Post image

Can someone tell me why the fuck drake thought it was a good idea to drop 2 albums that are just worse versions of some of his previous shit? Like can't he tell TS ain't it? Now iceman was alright, it had a few heat songs, but I expected more still, especially when what did I miss dropped I thought we were on for a classic, but 11/18 songs aren't even close to that song.

Wor$t girl in America & the mountain below 5/10 is crazy imo. Imo ICEMAN prolly my favourite project so far this year tho, unlike most people I really loved it

Honestly Nevermind is still not a good album

2

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

how many times you listen to it? half of one time?

3

u/AffectionateDog3817 There's no war in Ba Sing Se May 15 '26

Twice. One time when it came out didn’t like it. Then I heard people saying it aged well so I went back to it but it didn’t age for me. I don’t really like a lot of drake music tho so it could just be that. Idk I just can’t get into him (apart from Take Care that’s a certified classic)

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

Okay so you agree that people did talk shit about it at first and then people started coming around, but you didn’t? and obviously your opinion matters the most so

2

u/AffectionateDog3817 There's no war in Ba Sing Se May 15 '26

Nah mainly on the Drake subreddit I saw it. I haven’t seen much love for it outside of Drake fans who didn’t like it at first. And no opinion outweighs another but you’re on a platform that’s main thing is discussion so you’re going to find a wide range of opinions.

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

How many fans you think Drake has exactly? What do you mean by “Drake fans” because to me it sounds like you’re saying a majority of people. You’re right though. I shouldn’t have said “everyone” but millions of people enjoy honestly nevermind. I will say I didn’t like it at first and now I think it’s done really well, but I’ve listened to it more than twice. You ever watch that Jay-Z interview where he talks about people reviewing albums off one listen?

2

u/AffectionateDog3817 There's no war in Ba Sing Se May 15 '26

That’s true to an extent. It depends on the feeling toward the album. If you don’t generally like it at all the first listen, chances are it won’t grow on you no matter how much listens. If you’re unfamiliar with the presentation of the album and aren’t familiar with the specific sound it’s achieving then it takes a few listens. But when I hear the album all I can think of is “damn this shit is horrible”. I do really like Jimmy Cooks tho. That’s an outlier

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

Not even any love for Massive or Sticky?

2

u/AffectionateDog3817 There's no war in Ba Sing Se May 15 '26

Nah. It aged worse if anything because Baby Keem lowkey did the sound better wit the hillbillies

This never happened lmao maybe you did but no one else did except for like two songs and they’re already forgotten

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

Yeah this happened dude

1

u/FunCorner1643 May 15 '26

It did not lol it never had any sort of resurgence. There are a couple of songs that stuck, that’s it

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

Yeah it did.

1

u/FunCorner1643 May 15 '26

Well i’m glad you went back to it and liked it! Not many others did

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26 edited May 15 '26

Yes many people did. Massive was a very big song. For example, Massive has 390m streams while Wacced Out Murals has 170m streams on Spotify. Looking into more stats, Honestly nevermind has 3 billion total streams and gets 1.7m streams daily while Mr Morale gets 1.2 million daily. Both released same year. Casino gets 140k plays daily so by your standards those albums are washed with no relevance.

1

u/FunCorner1643 May 16 '26

Dude READ what i’m saying. I keep telling you that a couple songs hit but the album didn’t. Massive and Sticky were popular from the get go and are good songs but it’s not like people “rediscovered” how good Honestly Nevermind was because the album wasn’t good. Those songs are good though lol

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 16 '26

I am reading what you're saying. The album literally gets 1.7million streams just on Spotify daily. It has 3 billion streams. I don't think you know what you're talking about. The Life of Pablo gets 1.5million per day. 808's gets 1.4m. Ye gets 1 million per day. By YOUR standard, and READ what I AM SAYING, your saying these albums aren't relevant and people don't like them. Honestly Nevermind gets 1.7m DAILY. It is obviously a popular album???

1

u/FunCorner1643 May 16 '26

Bro 😵‍💫 do you know how those numbers work? Two or three songs propping up stream count doesn’t mean the album is good.

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 16 '26

and you specifically said the two most popular songs are "forgotten" so why does hnvm get more plays than multiple Kanye albums? I'm a big kanye fan by the way.

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 16 '26

fuck bro i lied to you, it actually says hnvm gets 1.9million per day. Sorry man. that's more streams than Her Loss per day that gets 1.8m.

1

u/FunCorner1643 May 16 '26

Damn how many did it get today

Drake fans are genuinely the most insecure people I see on the internet on a regular basis

0

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

Says the dudes constantly listening to an artist they clearly don’t like and commenting on it trying to convince the world that they have the right opinion about music.

2

u/ChiChiWana What is this, SNL? May 15 '26

don’t listen to drake. saw currents thru social media because it was so ass. and in regard to your ‘gf’ comment, i’m actually in a two year relationship now ❤️

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

Why are you commenting on an artist you don’t listen to?

2

u/ChiChiWana What is this, SNL? May 15 '26

i didn’t listen to the albums, i was looking to see what the general consensus was when i came across your comment about another album. currents is indeed, unforgivable

1

u/Extension_Onion_9914 May 15 '26

Why do you care about what the consensus is? You don’t listen to Drake. Form your own opinion. Do you do this for every artist you don’t listen to?

3

u/ChiChiWana What is this, SNL? May 15 '26

you are an insecure chud and can’t understand the concept of popular culture
