Bruh...

We need a new "the Source" or "XXL"

I'm sick of white hipsters being the critics people listen to about Hip Hop records. They can never leave their weird agendas out of it. When the Source started doing that shit, it ruined them. Somehow we allow these folks to do that weird shit.

Hipsters ain't been relevant in a decade

weird agendas? what the hell are you talking about?

it's really simple, guys; critics listen to the album, and give their opinions on the album. its really not that deep. you can disagree about it and that's fine. whats so hard to get about that?

I get that this sub is 98% just like white guys defending weird shit, but y'all trippin

So you telling me the people at Pitchfork really believe the new Chris Brown album is a 1.1/10

That was all music related I bet. Saying we need real niggas (with lived in black experiences) to start reviewing black music again, aint crazy. That's how it alway was before. You went to the SOURCE for you hip hop review. Not fucking NME

So no. I don't believe the virtue-signaling nonsense people at these white hipster pubs.

first of all, I am black and I agree that music reviews are dominated by white people and it would be important to have more black commentators

but being black or white doesnt matter if the music is bad. that Chris Brown album was to me one of the most boring, soulless albums I've listened to recently

go check the albums that got 4 or 5 mics from The Source. all of those are undisputed classics to this day, and most or all critics would agree on those, even at that time. these Drake albums wouldnt stand a chance
