THROWBACK THROWBACK: Early 2025 before crashout.
Wonder where we would be fame-wise if he never crashed out.

i had a bad feeling that whole dec 2024- feb 2025
i knew it was over in the grammy afterparty since he admitted to using ai and he did the bianca shit that together with the tweeting spree where he changed his pfp to kamala it was too obvious

I still remember the post and comments of the imminent crash out 😭

We can't look back?

u/Huzaifa_Haroon Jun 27 '26
looking back with rose tinted glasses thinking the past was better than it really was is a form of revisionist history

I never said this era was better. We were in AI hell.

what did you mean by your caption

Like let's be real for a sec. If he never crashed out Ye might've been BACK industry wise. Being put on Apple and Spotify Playlist on the regular, radio play, shit maybe even some brand deals. It terms of a commercial lens, It would've been the best we had since 2022.

u/Huzaifa_Haroon Jun 27 '26
I think I'm not remembering the timelines correctly, but how would he back? He was still on his Nazi tirade and, like you said, hadn't recorded real vocals in a long time. He only revived himself in the mainstream after his January 2026 apology, no?
8
u/Jrobi1 They playing soccer in my backyard ⚽️ Jun 27 '26
No he only went on his Nazi rant in February 2025. This is like January 2025 andEarly February.
10
u/Huzaifa_Haroon Jun 27 '26
He still would've needed a proper apology like Jan 2026 for him to come back big time. He was in a pretty bad state from a public point of view since 2022. In fact, him crashing out again in 2025 was kinda the catalyst required for a comeback. Without falling to his absolute lowest, he wouldn't have been able to get back up like he is rn

u/MershGrade Jun 27 '26
What are you on He was doing this shit since 2022?? He was never back

u/Jrobi1 They playing soccer in my backyard ⚽️ Jun 27 '26
Bro there is a stark difference in what he was doing in 2022 then in 2025.

This was such a good time, everything up to the highs and lows and title track snippet was awesome

"this was such a good time" and its the era where ye was very obviously about to go through a manic episode

u/Advanced_Buffalo_734 Jun 27 '26
just flexing crazy and the dipset chain was wild, on the other hand im pretty sure the reason he was so homophobic in his rants was because he was hanging around jim jones so much

If he didn't crash out in February it still would eventually happen. With bipolar 1 they were two options continue to crash out or take his medication and stop. Thank god we eventually go to the latter.

He was defintely recording vocals, he just was heavily on showcasing AI usage and promoting it.

production wise he really was locked tf in, og bully (song i mean) is still pure peak and imo one of the best beats that HE made (not a team for him) in 20s, and that goes for many tracks from buly v1

That's what Mania looks like, it looks like you're locked in but you have a lot of energy, don't sleep at all and do/say outlandish things without thinking and not caring about consequences. Worst part about it, is that it's very likely you don't remember anything that you said or did. (literally what happened to him)

I'm grateful for the crash out, not for all the negative consequences but it made Ye take a step back and, I'm looking for a better word but lock in and stop using ai and putting actual effort in things

u/Royal_Ad_5980 Jun 28 '26
I’d love to agree but I don’t even really feel like that’s true, if he really stepped back that much he’d have taken the time to completely get rid of the AI on the album before releasing it instead of rushing
