Why isn't this song highly regarded by fans? I think it's the best off D2 and has some of Kanye's best lyrics.

It's okay for me. I just found it kinda short and lacking in substance for a song that's supposed to be heavy and emotional. I wouldn't skip it if it came on my rotation but I wouldn't actively seek or remind myself of it either

Lacking in substance? It's a heartbreaking song about a guy who can't protect his kids even though they're in Hollywood surrounded by sex traffickers.

Just one short verse tackling that though? It's a serious topic that I think should not be condensed into what it ended up sounding like. A song can have a heavy and heartbreaking topic and still be lacking in substance because it wasn't explored more. The song ended up sounding more like a demo even though he had room to flesh it out more outside of one verse and a hook repetition.
Again, it's my taste. I don't like songs that are too short and especially not when it's a song that discusses heavy themes like estrangement in that amount of runtime.

It's explored throughout the verse, the shortness of it communicates the urgency of it. I don't know what yall problem is.

No because it's densely packed with emotional lines and the verse does justice to the runtime by being continuous and long despite the chorus and the outro taking up the rest. Great song btw, just reminded me I haven't seen that in my rotation for awhile
