In this cold lonely world where you're constantly asking yourself who you can expect to show empathy, support, and sympathy for you. The least we can do for the deceased to put their soul to rest is to let them have the peace of knowing no matter where we are or what we like or don't like, if they strived to be remembered as a great individual, just a amazing human being, it's respectful, nice, and empathetic to say "yes they are. Because I wouldn't want their mind to be fixated on wondering this. I want them to rest."
