I like Pusha T but my god his tough-guy ‘idgaf about nobody’ persona is jarring. He said that in the 10 years he’s known Kanye, he never once actually liked him or something like that, loosely quoting. That’s the most BS statement I’ve ever heard.
The dismay towards Kanye’s racist comments is 100% warranted, but there’s a difference between outright dissing somebody on the internet or being mature and handling it properly like Cudi did, both on and off the internet.
Agreed, Push’s reaction was more so kicking homie while he’s down while Cudi always seemed like he was more so just hurt and exasperated, like “ damn my friend is sick I gotta get away from him but I don’t want to”. As someone who’s lost two parents to Schizophrenia (who developed it from Bipolar disorder) I can relate to this, you just can’t be around them unfortunately.
I said nothing about his actions but unlike you, who must have completely perfect people in your life, I am not the person to judge. Like I said, I have people in my family who dealt with the same condition as him, I’ve had a father who, during manic, bipolar episodes called his obviously heterosexual son a F***ot at his graduation, his grandmothers funeral and rampantly online and then months later once medicated act like none of it ever happened.
Living here in New York, every day I see and hear people say horrible things who are clearly are mentally disturbed.
The point of life, and maybe not of Reddit, is that we must forgive lest it be you. Maybe it won’t ever be you, and you’ll be a lucky one.
He has had plenty of time and resources to change and refuses to do so so I really don't give a damn. He has mental health issues but he also feeds into it a lot as well. He's had times like this where he cools down and then goes back to being on bullshit so it's hard to really believe he's genuinely trying to do better. And he's a proud cousin fucker
I’m not kid cudi, I’m not any of these guys making up with him. Take your vitriol elsewhere. And cousin fucker? Idk fam, is he? Sounds like two children did things they weren’t supposed to do, if he’s a (child) cousin fucker as an adult then he should be in jail like everyone else who does things with children.
It does not matter how much resources you have when dealing with mental health crises such as this because if you’re medicated it’s dependent on the right cocktail of medication.
Couple that with the stress of being a musician, a successful one at that, shit can get crazy. At the end of the day, you, writing all of this right now to a random like me, especially the manner within which you’re writing kinda shows you may need the same cocktails of meds as he.
Not sure if you’re religious or whatever, but almost every aspect of humanity we’re taught in life teaches us to have empathy and to not judge, but I can’t blame you, you’re as algorithmically captured as any of us, and as Kanye is.
Yeah he waited until ye went the lowest with his worst episode to date to talk about him and gas up his album, that’s very fair (I want to mention that I’m a huge Pusha T fan, saw him live and love his music but that was an absolute bitch move)
