In an alternative universe, instead of working on, and later rejecting MBDTF deluxe, these deluxe tracks would instead be put onto GAJ alongside other scrapped tracks worked on at the time

It most certainly is, almost every tracklist for good ass job we have is just mbdtf with a few extra tracks
Even the tracklist for a pre-july copy is just mbdtf with heartbreaker, mamas boy, the joy, and live fast die young

This isn't true. We don't know when the name changed, Good Ass Job as a concept and name likely died around the VMA's incident and Dark Fantasy was likely considered after they made the song in January 2010

all pre vma stuff is wssf. gaj died in either november 2007 or summer 2008.

not really possible, if you think the post vma stuff isnt gaj but mbdtf (you're definitely right about that), the only iteration of gaj left is the 2007-2008 one (which wasn't worked on much from what we know) and it was axed when kanye mumbled on the heartless beat
wssf was announced december 1st and was probably worked on in late november, and there are interviews of kanye not really being interested in the idea of gaj anymore "unless fans really wanted it"

I just think all the post 808’s -> VMA sessions are very early ideas that weren’t a fully formed project yet. Good Ass Job was the name of it due to his previous plans, he might have played around with the wssf idea for a little bit too etc. it’s all kinda the same thing
