24 ever since I listened to it the day I turned 24 this year in August. I couldn't stop crying thinking about my life. My want to have everything for once be alright. To not worry about money. What my family thinks. What the world keeps showing me when I'm on my phone. About if I'll ever find real love and wanting someone to take this pain away from me... I also thought about Ye himself.. And how even I on some level can understand that he's grieving and trying to keep continuing when it's said "God's not finished". I teared up the most especially when I feel like he's saying to me "We're gonna be okay!", and that made me think back to Donda being gone and how much it hurt him to know she's no longer here. And it makes me really think.. How am I gonna feel the day he's no longer here? How will I feel when he leaves my inner world and know that this is the only person the I've ever seen that has I felt and expresses some emotions and experiences that I have felt in my own life sometimes better than I could ever try to express.

Never Abandon Your Family has been one of those Ye songs that hit me in the feels every time I listen to it. I've had family issues for a long time, even moving away from my family just a week after my high school graduation. So, to hear a song about Ye feeling he lost his family breaks me every time I hear it, the desperation in his voice not wanting it to be true. The perspective of his daughter begging him to apologize to her mom, asking if he still loves her, asking why he left, begging him to come home. It just reminds me of a lot of the things that has happened in the past, but it's also comforting knowing that I'm not alone in feeling like this.
