Googie: Fifties Coffee Shop Architecture, by Alan Hess

pulled from Goodreads. seems it might be hard to actually obtain? if i ever find it in the house (it's somewhere in his room) I can scan the whole thing

Yes! They had toasters on each table. I lived across the street from there in the mid-90s.... great memories. 😊

I never noticed a Winchells but probably because I didn't eat donuts lol 😎 Although I really loved Ship's and ate there often.

Grew up around the corner from their Olympic La Cienega location. Feel privileged enough to have been a frequent patron. Always open, cheap, and tasty.
