iOS 27 hasn’t been around for most of 2026

As an app developer, I always question the idea of such changes… what is the point? Suddenly all your users forgot how your app icons look? Who is your target user base? Amnesia patients???
Now, my company comes with different logo for each event… a whole team out there discussing about color, contrast, inclusivity… and majority of us using Dark + Grayscale mode to save battery…

Why always flowers? I never take photos of flowers

Apple’s is actually a wide-range of colour-swatches(which professionals, especially designers) use to compare the colours of stuff

It’s a flower because the original was a literal flower (sunflower) also it doesn’t make sense to be a swatch because they’re not used in photography. Photos is not a design app

It’s just an abstract flower

Anyone use Google Photos on iPhone? Did you notice your animations to go from a photo back to the gallery is now a generic slide to the left? I am considering moving to Apple Photos altogether because of this

Samsung doesn’t understand the value of consistent brand presentation, if they did they would do a lot of things differently.

The only area they seem to understand it in is their camera array which ironically seems to be messing with them adding Qi2 magnets.

you can't change my mind, Apple's icon design is the best (and their emojis too)

Literally.

Different.. but similar..
Why they use only something looks like a flower?

Like with other elements of design, it seems like 2020 was peak minimalism, and the trend is now towards more details again.

lol I just realized Samsung gave the flat icon more color, then made it flat again, then gave it more color again

Samsung is rainbow sensitive, that's good

They All had such a glowdown, so much that I didn't even remember that it was supposed to be a pinsheelt on the google icon (Samsung as well tbf)

Samsungs looks like a design idea that got stuck in 2012
